Feedback - Bug Reports

It’s probably in the vocab deck simply because it’s a common numerical/counting word which involves modifying one or more of the readings.

But you’re right, it should actually have kana as はっぷん

[P.S. Can anyone remind me of what this is called? I’m familiar with rendaku, when a second kanji’s reading is modified, but what is it called when the first kanji’s reading gets changed to end in っ, without changing the second kanji’s reading? Is that also still called rendaku, or does it have a distinct name?]

The review forecast ignores the day light savings in the selected time zone so it is now one hour off, until the change to winter time it was correct.

Thank you for your feedback! I’ve corrected the reading. We’re still ironing out some bugs in the vocab beta and reports like this are very helpful. Thank you!

Like @wtc mentioned, it’s common enough to be integrated and it helps you get your feet wet with counters.

Hi ! It seems that it’s still impossible to cram when selecting your own grammar point. For exemple when i’m studying new grammar point i like to do cram only with them before going into my reviews but it’s impossible, if you select more than 15 (approximately) grammar point I will be lock on the loading message.

Idk what exactly is going on here but cram mode is doing weird things.

I’m working through the Genki I Complete Deck (vocab + grammar) and the following 3 cards are now showing up everytime I add new items:

はがき
りょこう
おもしろい

This makes it so that I’m only actually adding 2 new cards every time I study instead of 5. The quiz at the end skips these 3 and only quizzes me over the 2 new cards.

Any idea how to “unstick” these?

Thanks!

Hello,

I noticed that I’m not getting the badges for slaying ghosts. I’m pretty sure I should have gotten to 13 already, since my number of ghosts dropped from from 29 to 3 in the last weeks, but so far I only unlocked the 4 badge.

Thank you!

AIAIJ subtext overflows the menu in Japanese interface.

The name of a deck is misplaced here:

not a bug but the in the にしては lesson one example says:

  • かれ毎日まいにち漢字かんじ勉強べんきょうをしているにしては全然ぜんぜん漢字かんじめない。

For someone that studies kanji everyday, he can’t read it at all.

It should say “every day” (meaning 毎日), not “everyday” (meaning 日常・普段 and an adjective in English).

Technically not a bug but not worth making a thread over this either.

I’ve been encountering an issue in Cram sessions where it seems like I’m being graded against a different grammar point than what is presented. Oddly, when I Report the question, it looks like it shows the actual grammar point that I was being graded against in the associated Report ticket.

Another “not a bug but”.

In the さえ lesson there is the example:

  • 上級者じょうきゅうしゃかれでさえ出来できないのに、あなたが出来できるわけがないでしょう。

Even someone in the class level can’t do it, there is no way you can do it.

I guess it should say “advanced class level”, no?

And another incorrect “everyday” in the さえ~ば lesson:

  • このくすり毎日まいにちみさえすれば、すぐになおりますよ。

As long as you drink this medicine everyday, it will heal quickly.

Even more of them (笑)

  • 小学生しょうがくせいころ毎日まいにち学校がっこうったものだ。

I used to go to school everyday when I was an elementary student. (Unnatural, as this is a normal event)

  • むかし毎日まいにちのように親父おやじとけんかをしたものだ。

In the past I fought with my father everyday. (Natural, as this is a meaningful event)

Maybe best to just check every lesson for this by ctrl+f-ing where you keep the drafts of the lessons? I’ll stop reporting this same mistake on that assumption (笑)

This doesn’t look like it should be possible. What happened there?

I sometimes get reviews twice in one session (on mobile - possibly due to a bad connection). Maybe this will cause the item to jump two stages at once?

Showed up on the 15th again

So I just got disconnected from the internet while doing reviews and I didn’t notice.

All my reviews got lost, because the page didn’t alert me until I was getting redirected to the summary page.

Maybe put a warning somewhere?

I regularly have this particularly obnoxious issue where, when I get an answer wrong due to a typo, Undo it, then type the answer correctly, I’m still penalized. I don’t have to redo the question like a normal wrong answer, but it will show up marked incorrectly in the summary and stats, and the SRS level will be the same as it was before reviews - I think that it maybe doesn’t revert the SRS level drop when I hit the undo button and then the level goes back up when I get the question right, but I haven’t paid close attention to the exact moment I hit the undo button. If it helps, I’m using the site in Japanese language but otherwise I don’t believe I’m doing anything out of the ordinary. This occurs like, maybe a few times a week, depending on how many typos I’m making

I’m so good that i create new grammar points!

But for real, since i reseted all of my N4, the app(and only the app, not the web interface) doesnt seem to have deleted my previous deleted points and reviews.
It doesnt affect anything, it just shows the wrong number of grammar point now exceeding the maximum amount possible and the 100+ reviews that dont actually exist. Also, when I click the Review button, when i actually dont have any, it tries to make a 0 review session for ever in loop. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixed the issue.

Love yall <3

Hey,

On the Android app, there are inconsistencies in retention of the search input’s state when pressing the native back button, back button icon, or search icon, when viewing a grammar/vocab entry.

Steps to reproduce for each tab:

Grammar Tab: search “とおな”, select “と同じくらい”, and return to the search results through the native back button, icon back button, or the search icon. Now, “とおな” is no longer in the search input, and I’m taken back to the unfiltered grammar entries.

Content Tab: the nested vocab and grammar bookmarks options have the same behavior as above.

Search Tab: search “とおな”, select “と同じくらい.” If you return to the search results through either native back button or the icon back button, “とおな” is still in the search input. If you click the search icon, you’re taken to a new search, which also makes sense.

Is this difference in each tab’s search behavior intentional? I prefer the approach of the search tab. I know I could just use the search tab and use the filters to display either grammar and/or vocab; but, I prefer using the tabs.

I just reset. This is what happened on the dashboard.

Clicking on Reviews leads to an error that says “Please study some grammar”.
I suppose it is my fault though: it does clearly state in the top-right that it’s -9 reviews and right below it +9 reviews. So I should really figure out basic math before I submit bug reports :man_shrugging:
