Feedback - Bug Reports

In the summary after the reviews, the example sentences from the grammar points are sometimes wrong. For example, in the overview it says:

そんなこそ出番だ!

But the sentence I actually got during review was:

ったこそ友達じゃないか。

Also, there is a mistake listed for a grammar point I didn’t even study this session.

These items were added by via Learn well over a year ago. I’ve been away for a while so I’m just starting to get back into things and wanted to try out the new review paradigm.

Right now I have a bug that the sentence I get during Reviews/Lessons are different to the Sentences on the end screen of the Reviews/Lessons. Meaning that during the Lesson-Session I got " 要するにお金が足りない場合デビットカードを使えないということです" but after I finished the lesson on the end screen it says I answered “要するに部品を替えるよりも機械を買い替えればいいってことだ”
This is not only for a few answered lessons/reviews, but for every single item during the session.

Just here to report the same issue with the summary page.

Same here. It seems like an off-by-one error.

The ghost sentences appear correctly on the summary page. Non-ghost ones are the same grammar point, but a different - in fact, the next sentence.

For the failed sentences, the newly generated ghosts are the correct ones.

How are you adding them?
Are you changing the Review Type on the individual Grammar Point page?
Or clicking an “Add to Reviews” button somewhere?

Hi all – we’re aware of the Summary-page issue and are taking a look into it!

In the end summary of a review session, the sentences that appear are not the ones that I answered. As they belong to that same grammar point, this is a spoiler for future reviews. In the past, the list of sentences in the summary used to correspond to the ones I had actually answered during the session.

For vocabulary, all example sentences are written with the focus being on highlighting the way that that particular item of vocabulary is used in the most natural way possible. We do not add grammar sentences or sentences from other vocabulary items that happen to contain a target word that people are looking for, simply because they exist elsewhere on the site (yet).

Eventually, all vocabulary will have 8 high quality examples that focus directly on that word’s meaning, and from that point, we are also planning on adding an ‘extra sentences’ section to the bottom, which will then pull every appearance of that word in other sentences from the site. Like you suggested.

It appears that 危うく is in A1, the first ‘beyond N1’ list that we have, so the good news is that you won’t have to wait long for examples, as we are already writing sentences for this list!

I have also encountered this. The answer is not converted to hiragana as usual, so that’s probably why it’s not accepted no matter what you type. Direct hiragana input is rejected as well (as expected).

There are no errors in the browser console when the broken ones are loaded/displayed. Restarting the review does not help.

Experienced a bug with the summary page today:
All of the review sentences displayed on the summary page were not the sentences I got during the actual review. The points were the same, just different sentences. This was mostly N3 vocab reviews with one grammar review, but I cant remember now if the grammar point review was the same? (sorry!)

Exactly same for me and I just finished N5 so this looks like a site-wide issue from reading some posts above. It’s interesting that it’s indeed the next sentence from the same grammar point. Looks like someone ($var + 1)'d a little too much

I wonder what happens if you get the last sentence during reviews, does it rollover or do you get some unexpected behavior?

Starting today, after finishing the quiz for my lessons, it takes about 20-30 seconds for the tile to come up with the options to carry on or return to the homepage.

I’m currently on N4 grammar, and do one lesson at a time.
I did also just purchase the lifetime membership before doing lessons today, not sure if that would effect loading times in other areas, but thought I’d mention it incase it does?

This is the only part of the website that takes this long to load for me

The Summary bug has now been fixed! It existed since last week Friday roughly.
Sorry for the confusion!

Hi there! Welcome to the forums.

We’re aware this bug affects a few accounts and are looking to fix it.
Will send you a DM with a few questions to help us bug-find this issue! :bowing_man: :male_detective:

How are you adding them?
Or clicking an “Add to Reviews” button somewhere?

A combination–some I added via the Learn module, others I manually added via the Grammar Point page. All of this happened over a year ago at this point though. I haven’t added a new grammar point
since making the change in my account Review preferences.

Or clicking an “Add to Reviews” button somewhere?

I did this on a few points during one of my recent review session, but I haven’t yet encountered them again in a new review session.

I currently have >300 items in my review queue. I changed the setting in my account preferences under reviews to change grammar points to the reveal and grade option, but I’m not seeing that on any of the 300+ reviews when I open a new review session.

It’s just a small thing but for some reason the activity section on my dashboard is a day behind, it is currently Monday the 28th in my time zone but on the dashboard it says that it is currently the 27th and when I do reviews it only affects the 27th. I do not know when this started.

I did double check to make sure my time zone was set correctly
