Feedback - Bug Reports

@zzaltz
You can reinstall the app from testflight, but we are also in the process of releasing the fixing update. Should be ready within an hour.

Not sure if it’s a bug or just something to address, but when making a self-study sentence and including a kanji in the “answer” part, it’s then impossible to get the question right because the input box only accepts hiragana/katakana during reviews.
It would be good to prompt you to only use hiragana/katakana in the “answer” box when making the self-study sentences - I thought this used to happen

Incidentally, when making a new self-study sentence, the final “English” box is active instead of the first box, “Japanese”.

Hello, I think I need to have the N3 badge manually triggered. Please file under the “missing badge” bug reports! :grinning:

Ghosts no longer come to haunt me when I make mistakes.

My setting is on max: “Enable ghost reviews”

I tried to change it and change it back without any success (turning it off-and-on-again).

Hey quick question about syncing WK, is the “Mark all imported WaniKani Vocab Reviews as mastered” supposed to do all of WK or just to what level you are on?

I tried it and wasn’t expecting everything from WK and I’m not sure if this is how it is supposed to work (I was at one point level 60 but reset and I’m only at level 6 now)

When clicking on “Ghost” in the progress section, it says “No reviews for this type” even though I currently have 11 ghosts pending. It used to show me the breakdown of ghosts (to “Ghost 1”, “Ghost 2” etc.) like it does with the other levels, which was pretty useful.

This has been happening for around 3 days I think.

Hi, I’ve had a look into this and tested some settings on your account, everything seems to be working ok, and a ghost review was created for an incorrect review. Next time it happens can you please let us know what grammar point it is and we can troubleshoot a bit more.

Hi Sam.

That gave me a clue:
The issue is that I don’t get any ghosts nor any reviews for them in the app:

The pictures show the Android app and web app side-by-side.
The Android app has 9 reviews pending and 0 ghosts.
The web app has 18 reviews pending and 9 ghosts.

(Sorry that the app and browser are swapped in the two pictures)

Are you using the latest version of the app?

I have version 0.4.1 from the 13th of October, 2024.
Is that the latest?

I have auto update enabled in Google Play, and there doesn’t seem to be any updates pending.

I don’t know if this is a bug or a feature, but I noticed some lessons now offer full Japanese explanation, for example ăȘăŒă‚‰ă« (æ—„æœŹèȘžèƒœćŠ›è©Šéš“ N1) | Bunpro. Did something got released too early?

In the iOS app the ghosts count for Vocab & Grammar differ, but when you examine the ghosts all that are shown for either are grammar ghosts.

Added a grammar point and noticed it was placed immediately in “Beginner 3” before doing any reviews on it at all

I have never knowingly requested that this happen for any new grammar points.

Hey there,
I went on vacation over the weekend and enabled Vacation Mode on 23/10 around this time.
I turned off vacation mode today just a few minutes ago (so around the same time I turned it on back then), but for some reason all my reviews are 6 days from now. I suppose I messed it up by trying to disable the Vacation Mode several times when it seemingly didn’t want to turn off.
Is it possible to fix it?

I have been having the exact same problem (using Chrome). It’s only the “Ghost” category that doesn’t display anything; the other categories show things normally. Even if I click through and then click back to the ghosts, it doesn’t display anything.

Can you give me an example Grammar point?
Could be an associated Deck setting.
