Feedback - Bug Reports

Hey @mrnoone, yes the button on the Yotsubato deck.

There is no indication of loading, it seems to be completely unresponsive.

Could you try tapping the button and then go back to the dashboard, opening side menu on the left, and using “Report a bug”?

This way I will get some useful logs :bowing_man:

I noticed today that the playback speed for voices had resetted, and I’m sure this is because the slow toggle that was there before has now been replaced with the speed slider. I adjusted the speed slider to 0.85× (and left the voice preference set to female), and now when I go to the next or previous lesson in my queue, the first sample sentence will be read out loud immediately. So without me clicking it. Just by going to the next or previous lesson, a Japanese sentence will be read out.

It’s not letting me review right now, every time I try I get an error message stating ‘malformed URI sequence’

I’m also seeing the URI malformed error message. The display says I have 1 review available but when I try to go review it, I keep getting the error page.

@maidoesthings
Just to confirm as we look into this, is this on the website or mobile app, or both?

@Jake

It’s on the website (although it might be on the mobile app too, but I don’t use that, so I don’t know). And what actually seems to be happening is that the error seems to happen whenever a specific review question pops up (no idea which one it is, other than that it’s one of the N3 Vocabulary sentences, and that I have it set to reading)

Just as a quick update, I have confirmed that the error message appears when I get this word as a review question:

Thank you for the info! It made it a lot easier to fix the issue. Seems it was a bad audio url. I have temporarily remove the audio and the review should be working normally now.

And it works now. Thanks!

We’re switching to a hints system that allows answers that are grammatically/contextually incorrect to explicitly show as incorrect, but still have a hint/helper.

Previously, all hints were orange, regardless of if the answer was correct under other circumstances, or just completely incorrect in all circumstances.

So, to use your example, previously the “Let’s try a different particle” hint for 「なみえる」 would have been orange.
Now, 「なみえる 」 is explicitly marked as not correct.

Does that make sense?
Sorry I feel like I’ve done a horrible job at explaining :joy:

Hi! I’m getting error messages for example sentences, since a week or so. Not all grammar points, but enough to be reminded I need to bug report (:

I saw someone else before having a similar problem, but I think things were mysteriously solved for them.

@mauriuma
Hey!
We have fixed this bug, and it will be released with the next patch, most likely this weekend!
Sorry for the inconvenience,

For the past few days, I’ve been having trouble adding vocab to reviews via the ellipsis in their row on the vocab deck view page. After clicking the ellipsis, I’m shown the options “Add To Reviews” and “Mark as Mastered”, but selecting either of the options doesn’t seem to do anything.

I’m experiencing this on Firefox (iOS). But it also seems to happen on Safari (iOS) and Chrome (Linux). I couldn’t reproduce the issue on Firefox (Linux).
