In the Grammar List, all the Non-JLPT grammar points are grouped into one lesson, understandably called “Lesson 1”. But on the pages for the grammar points themselves, for some reason, they’re all listed as being in Non-JLPT Lesson 2.
All of a sudden, one of my reviews (ghost review) switched from reading sentences /self grade to typing. I always make ghosts for reading practice of specific sentences and this never happened. I got the sentence in my usual reviews (where it was read the sentence and grade) and decided to make it a ghost for more practice, but when I got the ghost the first time, it was suddenly a different type of review.
Could be totally my mistake of course
I’ll leave the ghost in my review queue for a bit, just in case it would help.
Hi, I think there might be a mistake in the version of 私 included for Genki Lesson One Vocab? It seems to be the N4 わたくし rather than N5 わたし.
Recently when I’m learning new grammar points through the dashboard’s dropdown banner (both mobile and desktop, latest iOS) it’ll skip over the one of the next three points in my learning queue and won’t circle back to the missed point I’d expected to learn unless I manually add it to my review stack/it’s getting cleared out as I’m finishing the deck. The latest time this happened I was expecting to learn どうやら、より他ない、and 確かに but instead of getting 確かに I got 一応.
Not sure if this is an issue with me needing to clear my cache or if someone else has run into this before, but figured I’d drop it in here for visibility!
For the last day or two the dashboard page seems to be displaying incorrectly for me on firefox, the upcoming review bar charts seem to be too wide and are pushing the profile card off the screen
If i zoom the page or resize the window to be very narrow it will pop back in like in this screenshot below
also on refresh the profile card does briefly seem to show up where it should before being pushed off
If I check my dashboard on chrome it does display correctly, I don’t have any custom styles or user scripts going for bunpro, I don’t know if there’s otherwise some kind of custom layout configuration I may have changed inadvertently
Towards the end of a review session of 28 items with 3 to go, it suddenly added 2 back in (Not because of the hour ticking over or because they were marked wrong).
Not sure if this is useful to see but here is the end of the quiz too:
(This might be expected behavior, but I don’t understand why from my side haha)
If you open a private window and log in does it still occur?
Which sentence(s) in particular?
They’re all saved as “Reading”, so it might be from broken logic with the Quiz system, which I recently changed.
Looks like you didnt have any Ghosts due so I couldn’t check
Oh, sorry, I removed the ghost today, since it was getting on my nerves. I do reviews multiple times a day and the ghost was popping up all the time
it was the first sentence of this grammar item ほうかに(も)
I hadn’t checked it was fine and clearing cache seemed to fix it!
Can I please ask again if a fix for the note editor on iOS is on the roadmap?
It’s almost unusable at this point. You can just about get one note saved provided you get it right first time. From that point on though they are impossible to edit. The cursor is stuck at the top line, so you can only add new content, not edit existing content.
Taking notes and editing them is a key step in my process for creating a mnemonic for new vocab, as well as learning grammar points. Not having a working note editor in the app is becoming quite a limitation.
Hey!
I will make sure to fix it with the next update or this one!
Are you using mouse with an ipad?
If possible could you PM me a screen recording or screenshots?
Thank youuu!!!
I’m not using a mouse, but I am using an Apple Pencil. I believe the problem persists when not using the pencil.
I’ll send you a screen recording of both.
Edited to add: it seems to be an issue with the Pencil and/or the small floating keyboard that the pencil uses for swipe/handwriting input.
Scribble doesn’t seem to work in the editor but I don’t use that anyway so I don’t mind.
Cannot change SRS strictness on Android. Keeps resetting from half to 1, even if I change it during reviews. Works on desktop.
I think it’s specifically the “half” setting.
Hi there! Welcome to the forums~
Next time this happens, are you able to please let me know which Deck this happens to, and please leave the queue as-is?
With this info I can go into your queue and check out this broken interaction myself!
Sorry for the inconvenience 🙇♂️
Very good catch.
Looking into it!
Hi! Thanks for the welcome
So far this issue has only occurred on the Bunpro N2 grammar deck, any other deck I’ve worked through has operated as expected. Next time I catch it I’ll send the info your way! Thank you!
I am looking into it!
Did something change about SRS levels and/or the “half” SRS strictness?
I could swear two-or-so weeks ago before I went on vacation, items of a certain level would go down to Beginner 3 when failed, but now items of that level go down to Beginner 2 instead.
We changed the naming for beginner item stages recently. Before we had beginner 1-4 which were streaks 0-3, but we changed it to be Beginner 0-3 to match the actual SRS levels.
So Beginner 2 now is the same as Beginner 3 was. Only the name changed, not the actual SRS.
