Just got two ghosts for the same sentence / vocab point (授業), which is also really weird because I def did not get it wrong yesterday. Stats also support this as it is still in Seasoned 2 and would have dropped back to Adept had I messed up.

For the question above I cant get my answer accepted.
It asks me to be more polite but when I ask for the answer returns the same thing

Hi, thank you for pointing this out. This question was formatted incorrectly. I went in and updated it so that the correct answer 持ちません is accepted and 持たない・持たないです ask for a more polite conjugation. Sorry about that!

Confirming this issue, I got a few seasoned 1+ reviews wrong yesterday and still no ghosts. Is there a review history somewhere, so I can manually add the ghosts myself ?

Huh, now that you mention it I wonder why I don’t have more ghosts, considering my accuracy is pretty terrible with my recent vocab. I’ll have to pay more attention!

I have them set to default settings which should be beginner 2+ I think.

The text to speech software has a hard time distinguishing sounds sometimes. It mistakes “he” for the particle in “heiki,” pronouncing it “Eiki.” It does this with a few other words, too. From now on when I see it I will report it, but for now I’m noting it here.

I only ever completed up to N4 before resetting my progress due to coming back after a while, but my badges are incorrect. On Oct 26, 2023 which I think was day 1, it awarded me all of the JLPT grammar badges up to N1, all the level badges up to LVL 90, and all of the XP badges up to Fuji x50. I would find it more motivating to genuinely earn them so would it be possible to reset the ones that are wrong, please?

When scrolling down on mobile, the top menu gets partially hidden on both the forum and the main site:


Furigana not showing properly when synced with Wanikani. If I understood correctly, furigana should be showing if only one of two kanjis have been guru’d in Wanikani. I have not encountered the kanji for week yet.

Lost my streak today even though I had clearly completed reviews yesterday and today.

I had been in holiday mode (in Japan actually!) But returned to reviews Wed 22nd Oct. Quick screen shot of my activity:


You can clearly see activity on the 27th. I’m very confident it wasn’t like that yesterday, and even earlier today I didn’t notice, so I’m not sure when it decided I hadn’t completed any reviews the day before?

I have manually reset my streak back to what it was roughly (I’m not sure if it’s possible to check?) But certainly a bug there somewhere

I’m using the latest version: 0.4.12+291.

No, I stay on the Dashboard and pull down to refresh.

I have my Site Theme set to Device Sync so I either change it manually through the Android settings or it’s changed automatically at 7 o’clock.

Super minor thing:
The confetti after the lesson session isn’t centered anymore:


Was only able to catch it almost at the end of the animation, but the 3 confetti points are heavily shifted to the right (I only see about the half of the middle one on the right side of my screen and the left one more or less in the middle of my screen).

And after scrolling through some of the posts here, it also seems like I miss out on the confetti within the review view when a grammar point gets to the Master level. Might be tied to the heavy shift to the right side, so it may appear but outside of my screen because the “Master” text is already on the top right within the review session.

Another audio issue : here instead of saying だいにんき the woman voice is using another adjective. I think it’s おとなげ, which seems to be another valid reading for 大人気 but not the one displayed on the furigana. And given the translation I’d say the original intend is probably more だいにんき than おとなげ.

“And the results are in…” - on the review summary page
Doesn’t update to show the message anymore. Not sure if intentional or not.

Also, when getting a review wrong, and then leaving the review session (by clicking the exit button), are they supposed to just stay in the review pile? If I have to leave, do my wrong answers get ignored?

I’m trying to replicate this both locally and on the live site with my own account, but I can’t get it to break.
My guess it’s two things:

  1. An OS-specific issue (looks like the error is happening on Safari on iOS?)
  2. Something has broken with your local data on your device (not sure how or why this would happen)

Are you able to try switch to English, and then access your Cart?
I’m also assuming you are able to use the Cart on Incognito mode too

Huh, I’d have to agree with the post about ghosts not being created for vocab. I’m getting things wrong constantly today and yet somehow I only have 19 ghosts (which is what I had before I think?). Not sure how that’s possible since some of them aren’t new words (settings set to make ghosts at beginner 2).

To add to this, another sentence with this disparity issue. Woman audio says しょう (or ちょう?) instead of せい for 性. しょう is another existing reading according to my kanji app to I guess it’s a likely candidate.

Issue reproduces in Private mode. It resolves if I switch to English. Also worth noting is that I don’t have enough balance for what’s in my cart, so that might be related, but the language element is definitively involved
