Feedback - Bug Reports

sent an email but figured I’d edit my post and post here too - on auto pay, got charged monthly bill as usual but bunpro detects me as a Lite user. not sure if this is happening to anyone else, I haven’t touched any of the billing settings since I first joined so not sure what’s up

@Jake thought it’d be auto fixed by the morning but it hasn’t, when you get a chance thanks! going to cross my fingers i can get a review done before midnight to preserve the streak :joy:

@Jake it just happened to me in Chrome T_T (the bookmark function not working)

Sometimes the website will completely lock up when doing reviews. As in, the “Text caret” symbol of the mouse appears over anywhere on the page, unless I move it onto something outside of the main window. This only ever happens on the Bunpro site, and not on any other website. I am using Firefox, Win 10.

I have to refresh the page to start doing reviews again.

It only happens during reviews, never during study or any other webpage.

This might be a result of being on the beta or maybe the grammar is too newly added… I just tried to add the 3 new N5 grammar from today and the buttons were acting a bit odd, not reacting right away when being clicked, and my dashboard thinks I have -1 reviews…

When I actually click reviews, it gives me the 4 reviews I actually have (the 3 new ones and 1 from before) and seems to act normally and now is back to 0 reviews. I’m guessing this is just some display bug from the “add to reviews” button acting up.

The html code coming from https://bunpro.jp/user/user_progress_data is corrupted:
<span title="Future Grammar Count") class=' user-progress--upcoming'>
Some redundant ) wormed its way in.

Also on the stats page on the “Breakdown By JLPT Level” pie chart I see one learned N3 grammar, but I didn’t learn any! N4 and N5 grammar displays correctly.
user_progress_data reports my N3 progress correctly (if zero can be treated as a progress :sweat_smile:).

I will look into the issue with the negative review counter.

@HotAirGun Thanks! I will take a look.

Audio uses けれど but sentence corrects to が

Pretty sure the audio in this sentence is saying 乗り換えよう instead of 乗り越えよう

Hi! I’m not sure if this is a bug or not. But my reviews font sizes are too small whenever I have my browser in anything but a full window. I tried changing the font size and all it changed was the options and general UI, but not the reviews.

For comparison here it is when the window’s full screen

Little issue that’s more annoying than an actual problem:

The first review of a series often (not always) doesn’t get graded. It’s hard to explain. It shows me the question, I type in the answer, press enter or click submit, then… nothing changes. No green or red bar, no audio, no ‘press a for alternate answer’ caption. But it does seem to acknowledge that I’ve answered. The text area loses focus, (I think) the hint goes away [edit: it just did it to me again. the hint doesn’t go away, but the play audio triangle button appears. That play button is non-functional. The cursor can be placed back in the answer text entry box, but the answer cannot be edited]. But no correct/incorrect feedback.

Pressing enter again takes me to the next question as expected. All the other reviews in the session work as expected. That first review gets slotted back at the end of the review session and usually (not always) acts normally the second time I see it. It’s not counting that first review as a fail though, it’s just like it had never existed.

A very small fraction of the time, it doesn’t get graded the second time around either, and the review session just ends with 1 review remaining. Then I’m stuck in a loop of launching a review session, trying to do my one review, and not getting credit for doing it.

Sometimes closing the tab and reopening the site fixes it, sometimes not. So far I’ve either just kept trying until it takes, or left it at one review until next time.

Probably no easy way to fix this but the audio says きちんと for the second entry instead of ちゃんと

I was trying to demo for my sister how to use the cram function, so I started a cram session with some grammar selected, ended the session without answering any of the questions, and then started another cram session for all learned grammar points.
Even tho my answer was correct, it seemed to expected the answer from the last cram session and not the new one.

What steps did you take here? I’ve had the same thing happen to me in the past before but it was pretty hard to replicate it exactly.

(moreso for admins) I just tried now starting a cram session, intentionally got the first question wrong, then clicked the home screen without moving onto the next question. Upon starting a new review, I answered the first question correctly and it counted as correct but the question itself shifted automatically to load the next question without getting rid of the green answer. I took a screenshot of the log based on what I saw, seems to be a common thing.

Audio says ということなの but it corrects to ことなの

slight bug with N5 Lesson 8 reading, looks like the first passage had a hiccup somewhere in the code that caused the entire article to want to link to たほうがいい!

Some grammar was added for N5 but I’m on N3 and it won’t let me go back and study it. How do I go back and study those final N5 elements?

Settings

Pop on down to “New Grammar” and switch the JLPT study level over to N5.
