:bunpro_icon: Feedback - Suggested Improvements/Feature Request

This is embarrassing. I completely forgot about Ghosts.

Now it makes sense, so it’s probably working as expected.

@Senzankou

Also note that the Beginner levels with the shorter durations (4, 8 hours) are not pushed forward to appear at 3am.
So they will appear break the “3am” rule

We’re currently working on this exact project.
App polish + bringing both up to parity (within reason)

Hi,
I was just wondering that. Because I recently noticed that if I get something wrong during a review, it will go to Wrap Up as expected. If during the same session, I manage to get to wrap the item up, it will indeed be counted as wrong during the sum up.

Howerver, if I do the pending wrap up item during another session, and get it right, it will be counted as right and not wrong during the stats of this session during the sum up.

Is there something I’m not getting? Or is it something that could be improved / homogenised? Sorry if the question has been asked before!

I believe it’d be good if the だって N3 grammar point (だって (JLPT N3) | Bunpro) was split into multiple. The senses of だって that one page teaches feel a bit too varied for just a single lesson, so…

Welcome to the forums!

I just tried this and it marked it wrong for me.
Are you on a native app or web?

I agree with this overall (that there should be a way to treat self-study as regular example sentences in the SRS). However, the way I’m currently using self-study is to hammer in specific meanings or specific sentences, so I actually like that I get the same sentence in addition to the regular SRS example sentences.

When this does eventually get addressed, would be nice to be able to specify self-study behaviour on an individual sentence level.

I have three QOL requests on my end:

  1. Similar to mobile, it would be great if we could filter Decks to only show unlearned items.

  2. When using the global search, and filtering by highest or lowest JLPT level, it would be great if the A decks were shown in order afterwards. The reason for this is because A1-A5 have example sentences, so I “care” more about seeing those results over unclassified or higher A decks, and if I see that the word I searched up is in an A1-A5 deck I’ll usually add it to my queue or bookmark it for later. Currently, they are unsorted so you need to scroll through all results to potentially find words in those decks.

  3. Also regarding global search, it would be great to add in search operators so that we can make searches more specific. For example, if I’m looking specifically for the word そり there is no way for me to specific that by typing “そり” like I would in other search bars. Instead, if I search for そり I get every word on Bunpro that contains that sequence of letters. This is pretty cumbersome especially when searching for shorter words.

Thanks for reading!

Hi, thanks for the reply!
Actually, both. I noticed it while having my answer flagged wrong on web, on my PC, thus sending it to the wrap up items, and it having it flagged right, while wrapping it up on the native app, on my phone.

New deck beta feature is quite impressive! One request:

When using the filters, is it possible to let the units / categories remain collapsible? Example: if I filter on only “new to you” items, can I see that the first one is in “Unit 6: Polar Bear Vocab” and scroll down and see I only have 4 polar bear vocab remaining and “Unit 7: Macrame” has 10/20 etc.

Esp. helpful when jumping into a textbook where my known/unknown content is quite mixed among chapters due to studying other textbooks, Wanikani, etc.

My goal is after N1, to shore up some common-word gaps this way rather than using the A1-A5 decks which are somewhat random in ordering.

Would love to be able to change hotkeys. 0-key exits session but is right next to my dash-key so I frequently interrupt myself. Skill issue, but would be a nice qol

A request!
The possibility to save/star mark the sentences you like to a section/list that you can access through your home page. Sometimes when doing the review a great sentence shows up that I like to remember and read again to practice. So a way to add sentences from reviews, but also from the learn sections examples to a list somewhere would be great!

Maybe it’s already been suggested or exist

Idk if this has been mentioned but I’d love to be able to name my cram sessions!

I encountered two N3 grammer points during shadowing from TRY! N3 (or maybe rather combinations) that might be missing from the library.

~させておく / causative + ておく (let someone keep doing something)

~られてしまう / passive + てしもう (something someone has done that is unfortunate/inconvenient)
