Structure
- verb[stem] + 合う
Often used with (お)互いに
A related word that isn’t included as a grammar point on Bunpro but I think is worth comparing:
〜て一緒に〜する (do together)
一緒にご飯を食べる
eat together (side-by-side)
VS
〜合う (mutual action)
食べ合う
feed each other
From what I understand 一緒に is people are doing the same action in parallel, while with
〜合う people are doing the action to each other?
