Structure

• どうして / なぜ + Phrase1 + かというと / かといえば 、 Phrase2 + のだ / からだ / ためだ 。
• Phrase1。 どうして / なぜ + かというと / かといえば + Phrase2 + のだ / からだ / ためだ 。
• どうして / なぜ + Verb + (の) + かというと / かといえば

In casual speech の can be changed to ん and と to って

[Used to emphasize a reason or cause (phrase 2) for phrase 1 by delaying the response and forcing the listener to wait. This creates a dramatic effect]
[なぜ is a word used more often in writing, and どうして is used more often in speech]

Any particular reason this example switches from informal to formal?

Also can なんで be used in informal situations for this pattern? Like なんでかってゆうと？
