Just curious - with なadjs and nouns, when does one use である and how does it change the meaning? The page about this grammar point doesn’t seem to address that.

I came across this sentence in a review, and answered 「であるに相違ない」, and it was marked incorrect. The correct answer apparently is 「に相違ない」.

彼こそこの作品の本当の作者__。

That’s fine but… why?
