What about まさか+の？This is a sentence from NihongoDekita with Sayaka I got randomly recommended today: 天気予報では、すぐに雨が止む予定だったんですけど、まさかのもっと降ってきてしまったので、ちょっと雨宿りしています。She translates it as “unexpectedly”.
