Verb［ます］() + まくる
Verb［て］+ Verb［て］+ Verb［ます］() + まくる

(*) Verb has to be volitional

まくる is also sometimes used as a noun using Verb［ます］+ まくり + だ pattern

I was scratching my head over what this was supposed to mean, but I think I found the answer. Seems like I wasn’t the only one confused about “volitional verbs”.

A volitional verb expresses an action that is controlled by the will of a sentient actor. It’s not really an intrinsic property of the verb, it also depends on context. The actor needs to be sentient, and the action as a whole must be controllable.
