English to do something for someone
Structure Verb[て] + あげる
I’m a little bit lost here, I’ve just failed a review for this vocab because of the following situation. The question is: このプレゼントをお父さんに_______。[渡す]
I answered with わたしてあげる but for some reason the answer is わたしてあげて.
I’m not sure what I’m missing here, the hint is “Hand over [do for・request]”, why do I have to use the て-form for あげる?

Hey! 
When making a request(in casual speech) you can omit the requesting word which is after て form.
So instead of:
このプレゼントをお父さんに渡してあげてください・くれない・くれるetc, you can simply say:
このプレゼントをお父さんに渡してあげて
and the speaker will still know that you are requesting.
That’s why “request” has been added to hint. I will write short explanation under this example, so that there won’t be more confusion in the future!

I’m confused about the sentence " ユカに消けしゴムを かしてあげて ね". Why is it てあげてね and not てあげるね？

ユカに消しゴムを貸してあげてね = ユカに消しゴムを貸してあげてくださいね
In this case you ask someone, to lend an eraser to ユカ.
ユカに消けしゴムを かしてあげるね
On the other hand, here you are stating that you will be/are lending an eraser to ユカ.
