Summary
Today, I went to the kimono stop in the morning. Because I will be renting a hakama (next year(?)). Since in Japan it is typical for girls to wear hakama during university graduation ceremonies, I have been thinking that I should wear one when I graduate in March next year. Of course there are many girls that wear suits also. Today wasn’t my first time at this kimono stop, I came before for the kimono I wore for my Coming of Age Ceremony. Deciding on a hakama was tough. There were so many choices of different patterns for the kimono and of different colours for the hakama; then there were all the possible combinations after combining the two. My process in the end was to first choose out the kimonos I liked, then as I was trying them on I thought about which hakama would go well with each one. My final selection is the one in the largest photo. They were all beautiful so I struggled to come to a decision but since I felt I was able to pick a hakama that suits me, I was very satisfied. I feel so thankful to my parents who agreed to support my idea to rent a hakama for my graduation.
ちょっと確認したいんですけど、レンタルするのは今日もじゃなくて未来だけですよね。来年の三月に。
I have rarely tried to translate anything in the past so I’m not sure if I took too many liberties in my choices but they felt necessary. Hopefully I have been able to capture what you said accurately. I was able to avoid combining any sentences though.
