確かに、せっかくの外食なのに自分で調理するのって嫌ですよね。日本では「焼き肉」や「しゃぶしゃぶ」、「すき焼き」など、お鍋を使う系の料理は、自分でやるスタイルが多いです

My counter to this, not sure if it’s the same for others, is that I love cooking meat and am very particular about the way it’s cooked. However, I kinda I hate going shopping. Plus if we go to a yakiniku place, all the sauces are provided and I don’t have to keep a fridge full of 10 different sauces.
If you ever come to Japan let us know! I’ll happily cook yakiniku for you

To be honest, the thing I dislike most about cooking is the decision-making. Especially with 2 incredibly ungrateful teenagers, うげっ、それこぞマジでたべたくないよ

That food looks nice…but what I’m most curious about now is if there are any good chicken burger/fried chicken chains exclusive to Japan? xD.

日本のバーガーやフライドチキン…確かに直ぐには思い付かないですね… 
今すごく考えてみて思いついたのは「モスバーガー（日本のチェーン店のはず…？）」と、「ファミチキ（ファミリーマート）/ナナチキ（セブンイレブン）」などのコンビニのフライドチキンですかね… 
（あと、パートナーや友達の口コミで、東京の赤羽などにある「せんべろ昼飲み居酒屋」の唐揚げは とても美味しいそうです〜）

十月五日：
今日は、ディズニーシーのチケットを買いました。大阪へ引っ越す前の 最後のディズニーになりそうです。私はディズニーが大好きで、大人になった今でも 年に４回ほどは 必ず行くのですが、最近は チケットの値上がりが少し気になっています。 
最近は 毎年値上がりしていて、少し前には、チケットの制度も少し変わりました。日付による価格変動制になったのです。そのため、土日の休みや祝日、クリスマスやお正月などの混む時期は 値段が高くなり、平日になると 値段が安くなります。最近の値上がりで、ついに、一番高い時だと 一日のパークチケットが１万円を超えるようになってしまいました。私が中高生の頃は 八千円ほどで大人も行けていたと思うので、その頃を思うと今の価格はとても高いように感じます。それでもまだ、私にとっては行く価値がありますが、今後どこまで値上がりし続けるかは不安です。 ディズニーシーに行くのは四日後で、今からとても楽しみです！

Are the US-origin theme parks in Japan, as good as, better than or not as good as the ones in the states? I mentioned going to universal studios in Osaka (it’s got the Nintendo/Mario stuff right?) to my family and met with the opinion, “Why would you go to them in Japan over going to them in the States?”. I said that the ones in Japan have different rides and themes, like the Mario stuff (which is clearly better than Mickey mouse 
)

Having been to both, I think the American ones are a bit better overall, but thematically the Japanese ones are better. They do a really good job in Japan of creating the atmosphere of the ride you’re about to go on, which is just as well considering you’ll be in the line for any good ride for at least an hour 
.
However, I went to the American ones when I was like 12, so my memory could be skewed by child happiness haha.

I mean, I’m not sure why I even need to think about going to other theme parks around the world when this place is about a half hour drive away.
It is full of rampaging toddlers and highly caffinated sleep deprived parents who are on the brink of sanity…

Having been to both Universal in Japan and in Florida, I gotta say the experience is largely the same: waiting for an hour in unbearable weather for a shot of adrenaline. Is it worth it? ehhhhhhhh
Now this man knows how to party.

I’ll see you and raise you, “waiting for over 3 hours in British weather on 4 hours sleep with 2 toddlers in a queue with other said toddlers and parents, for a shot of meh” - ahhh good times!

今日は、バーに行きました。 
最寄駅から５、６駅ほど離れている駅にあるバーです。ここへ行くのは 今回で二回目でした。アメリカをモチーフにしているのか、店内には アメリカの国旗があります。 
食べ物も、洋風なものばかりです。今日は 食べ物は ポテトサラダとガーリックトーストを食べました。どちらも５００円で、軽いおつまみのような位置付けです。最初にハイボールを飲み、次にブラッディメアリーを飲み、最後は ウイスキーを飲みました。ウイスキーは どちらもバーボンで、メーカーズマークとワイルドターキーの二つです。味をよりしっかり味わうために、ストレートで飲みました。最初に飲んだせいか、私にとっては メーカーズマークの方が より美味しく感じました。ここは店主の方が気さくで色々話してくれるので、そこでお酒を飲むのは楽しいです。今日も楽しい夜になりました。

October the 6th
Today I went to a bar. This is a bar that is 5 or 6 stops away from my nearest [train] station. This was the second time I’ve been here. It might be American-inspired, there is an American flag inside. Further to this, there is only Western-style food. Today I ate potato salad and garlic toast. Both were 500 yen, similar to a light snack. I first drank a whisky and soda, then I drank a Bloody Mary and finally I drank whisky. There were two brands of whisky, Maker’s Mark and Wild Turkey, both of them bourbon. In order to properly appreciate the taste, I drank it straight. Maybe because I drank it first, for me Maker’s Mark felt tastier. It is pleasant to have a drink there as the owner is friendly and tells a lot of things. Today was also a pleasant night.
