Have you done your BunPro Review today?

Very long time since I’ve updated but trust that I have been doing my reviews (My streak is 222!). I just didn’t do any of the new lessons they added for a while. I’m almost caught up this time though. I only have 2 N3 lessons to go. Still waiting until N1 is complete before I start doing any more lessons for that. Though I am pleased to say that I finished doing Sections 1-26 of Shin Kanzen Master N1 Bunpo in the meantime. : ) So I am ready to pile on the lessons whenever they do finish it.

Also, a lovely coincidence, my WK level and my BP level finally match! : D

I did a real push this weekend because my summer break ends today. So I did like 5-6 points today, did 3 yesterday and 3 the day before, and because I pushed today, I finished lesson 5 of N4.

I think I’ll plan to push grammar during weekends and focus on WK during weekdays when enough other Japanese happens since I have classes.

And now I’m level 39. ^^

Does anyone ever see “0” reviews after completing? I finally got to the bottom of my pile but I would get an automatic 15 reviews, finish those and get another 20…been so long since I’ve seen this. I’m probably in a full ghost haunting or demon possession :smiling_imp::ghost: after N3L9…nothing was familiar and I’m just starting to get used to them.

I see 0 reviews every day. I also tend to only have 3-12 reviews per day (depending on how recently I added lessons). (Well, more reviews will generally crop up later in the day but I often only do reviews once a day and sometimes twice.)

:sushi: I’ve just readded three lessons about など、やすい、 and ほしい。
:sushi: I always zeroed BunPro up to now.
:sushi: I’m still at 0/0 (0 lessons and 0 reviews) on WaniKani.
:sushi: I don’t mind to level up from lvl 28 to 29 on WK next week, as long as I don’t get burnt out, because life. ニャー
:sushi: There are still 2,208 lessons on my Kitsun Katakana 4.5k deck I haven’t added/learned.
:sushi: I’ve been using 日本語総まとめ N5 and TRY N5 books and CDs though not everyday. I often feel they’re too easy, though I didn’t alwys get 100% correct when I did the exercise. D’oh!
:sushi: No screenshot.

Coming back from vacation mode is so brutal

I’m also creating leeches in Wanikani at a spectacular rate so my motivation is really plummeting. That and I don’t live in Japan anymore either

I’m really doing lessons regularly in BP again now. Yay. I’m about 3/4 done with lesson 6 of N4, and I hope to finish it this weekend. So then I can start to pick through lesson 7. It partly helps that I’ve already gone through a certain amount of points per lesson in my Japanese classes already since each grammar resource don’t completely agree what belongs where when to comes to JLPT levels and then they might order them completely differently so stuff I learned early N4 on BP haven’t shown up in my classes yet and vise versa.

And boom, I am level 40 and have a new shiny badge. ^^

Now I’m level 41 and can say there is no 250 day streak badge. :sob: Now I’m starting to doubt there even is one for 365 days. Whatever happens I will do my best to keep my streak until then, but after a year long streak I’m quitting it if I don’t miss before then because I don’t want to feel like I always have to do a bit of BP to not lose my streak. >_<

Edit, 2019-09-13: Apparently you can’t have more than three replies in a row, so here is my latest update:

I’ve now hit level 42, and I’m almost done with lesson 7 of N4. 107/165 of N4 done (and I’m about to add a couple more points to my reviews). Feels good and at this rate I’ll finish N4 around the time that my class starts N3 or a little after. :joy:

:sushi: I just zeroed my BP reviews this morning. Levelled up to 31 again for the second time on BP last night.
:sushi: TRY N5 page 39.
:sushi: There are still 128 turtles to review on WK right now.
:sushi: I haven’t touched Kitsun Katakana 4.5 deck, but I’m optimistic I’ll zero them once I take down my WK Apprentice to 50-80. Currently 202.

Edit: 3 hours later. I zeroed my WK turtles, at last.

Up to zeroing my Kitsun Katakana deck and I’ll do self study quiz later!

Today was a pretty easy day for reviews. :slightly_smiling_face:

:sushi: I zeroed both WK & BP this morning! Slowly but surely my lower Apprentices moved to higher Apprentices.

:sushi: I’ve readded 6 lessons on BP about みたい、どんどん、まず、こと、てみる、にくい。
:sushi: I listened three times and immitate what they said in Japanese from TRY N5 book CD 31.
:sushi: I did self study quiz this morning and twice last night. Scores were about 95%.

I got the 100k XP badge just now. Finished lesson 7 of N4 yesterday and about to start level 8 which should go fairly quickly since it has several grammar points I’ve already studied in class, some back in May or so for N5 even. Sometimes I find it very notice that there is no official JLPT list of where each grammar point fits. ^^

:sushi: I zeroed both WK & BP this morning. Slowly but surely my higher Apprentices will move to Guru. I’ll do self study quiz again. As far as I remember I did self study quiz twice yesterday, once in the morning, and once in the afternoon.

:sushi: I entered 私を愛してくれる instead of 私を愛してくれますか?

:sushi: I readded three lessons about そう、てすみません、みたいに。
:sushi: I will read again about てくれる and all examples and references available on BP.
:sushi: I listened to 1, 2, 3 from 日本語能力試験公式問題集 第二集 N5 CD.
:sushi: I read TRY N5 book page 42.
:sushi: I practised ペン字 day 1 and day 2. I use 10日美文字が書ける本。I think I’ll change how I hold pen to write latin letters too because my hand is less tired using this pen holding technique. I will practice again what Aoyama Sensei taught me from their DVD.

:sushi: I zeroed both WK & BP this morning. My Apprentices are still greater than 80 and my Gurus are still greater than what I feel comfortable and my Leeches are still that many. I’ll do self study quiz twice again today.

:sushi: I learned 6 new vocabs on WK.
:sushi: I readded three lessons on BP about までに、そう、てすみません。
:sushi: I read TRY N5 book page 43 to 48. I learned about the concise way to remember conjugation here, unlike so many cards on Kitsun Japanese Verb Conjugations deck that I often did wrong, not because my Japanese was wrong, but because I often don’t fully comprehend the English instruction/question.
:sushi: I listened to TRY N5 CD 32 and 33 and answered.
:sushi: I practised ペン字 again what Aoyama Sensei taught for day 1 and day 2.
:sushi: I did reviews on Kitsun Katakana for about 75 + 75 + 75 cards, I think. There are still 843 left right now.

You doing great work here, @nanda!

As for me, I’m currently adding 12 lessons on WK every day, currently split between kanji (4) and vocab (8). I’m adding new BP points most days, but won’t today because I probably will add quite a few tomorrow (many which I already know). And because I’ve currently learnt all the vocab for Japanese class until we start the next term about a week into October, my Torii pile is getting lower, giving me more time for BP. But I think I’ll arrange so I can start adding next terms vocab sometime in the next week or so.

I also zero reviews at least once every day, although usually twice on WK and BP right now since I’m actually adding stuff to both so often.

Thanks! That means a lot.

:sushi: I zeroed both WK & BP this morning. Although my Apprentices are less than 100, my Gurus are still greater than my Master.

:sushi: I learned 9 new vocabs and 3 new kanji on WK. Probably more, I just didn’t really remember/count them when I learned them.
:sushi: I didn’t add any lessons on BP.
:sushi: I read (did the exercise) TRY N5 book page 48 - 52.
:sushi: I listened to TRY N5 CD 34 to 36.
:sushi: I watched and tried to understand ペン字 again day 3 and 4. About ピタ。ピタ。カク。ピトの法則。Only on a blank paper though. I haven’t cleaned my square paper for my ペン字 writing practice. And I don’t really understand what Sensei talked about for Day 4. All Japanese. No translation. No subtitle. I do remember about ピョン though, clearly. グル。ピタ。ピョン。
:sushi: I did reviews on Kitsun Katakana for about I don’t remember how many cards, but there are still 530 reviews left right now.
:sushi: I read and listened two articles on NHK EASY.

Yesterday I added all the rest of the points for lesson 8 of N4. I didn’t quite do everything I usually do when I add grammar points because I did it while pretending to listen to my Japanese school’s big speech contest (I knew I wouldn’t understand much so I didn’t bother). Studying BP was a much better use of my time. ^^

I’m still working through having a lot more reviews than normal from adding 12 grammar points in one day, plus I had to add another new one a couple of days ago when they added a new grammar point to N4, lesson 8, since I wanted to stay finished with it. And I still haven’t had time to go through all the normal things I would with each of those 12 grammar points. After I finish that I’ll consider adding new grammar points again.

WK is going great. I’ll add the last kanji lessons for level 16 today and then work on the vocab before I will stop lessons during vacation.
