Your sanity is worth it-----just set the review type to “reading” instead of fill-in-the-blank. And just use a separate resource to study the differences. Bunpro isn’t useful when it comes to talking about nuance or explaining when you should use XYZ instead of PDQ.
I wish Bunpro, for grammar principles that are similar, they tested you both sentences at the same time so you could visually see the difference by comparison. It’s hard when I study X.1 grammar principle today, but then the annoying similar X.2 grammar principle comes back in 5 days and by then I just don’t remember…

I don’t have experience with other apps, but I’ve been learning Japanese for 6 months, and when I went to Japan some weeks ago, I was able to make actual (albeit limited) conversations.
which is something I didn’t expect to happen this quickly when I started.
Hence I feel like Bunpro has exceeded my expectations in every way.

Some of them are attached to verbs, some of them follow a noun and some are both???

I read this tofugu article recently and it really helped me clearing up the difference between ところ and ばかり. I think they might have articles for the other ones, too

To expand on that, all the ways to say while (that I know of, there may be more monsters lurking still before me) are:
内に
間に
中
最内に
とき
ている間に
ているところだ
ながら
Some of them I can distinguish ok, but distinguishing between 内に (うちに) and 間に (あいだに) is just random. I am slowly starting to suspect that this is an elaborate prank on learners of Japanese, or maybe a yet-unknown macro quantum entanglement effect in which it always is the other one from the one you expect.

As someone who has studied for the JLPT many times and helped other people study for it, Bunpro honestly has some of the best explanations I’ve seen. People who aren’t happy with these should go check out a JLPT book. Even the good ones provide essentially no explanation between meanings and just give you several points that are translated basically the same way, and the most you might get is 硬い表現.
