Read some short stories from the first volume of the Project Sekai: Colorful Stage (Hatsune Miku rhythm game) manga. I purchased the book on somewhat of a whim because it had an extra discount on Kinokuniya due to it being a staff pick of the month. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed it quite a bit so far. The stories are just long enough to be interesting/fun, but easy enough to get through since they are episodic.

This chapter was really fun. 闇暗の魔物(I’ve been calling him ‘shadow monster’) attacked, leeching the color from her gold fish Gill and giving her dog Fig いちじる anxiety.

My Youtube feed contained an interview with an 80 year old woman who gave up her driving license and says goodbye to her RX-7. Some parts were surprisingly easy to follow, while some sections really required a lot of lookups

I saw several student plays at 文化祭. There was Demon Slayer, Toy Story 2, Cinderella, A legal drama, a dance contest and one with lots of chasing. Sometimes the police chasing the kids, sometimes the kids chasing the police.

I’m currently in Tokyo and I watched exit 8 without subtitles.
I missed a handful of spoken details but I grasped it because I played the game when it came out + visual context.
It’s a nice movie and probably pretty low effort to watch for most. There isn’t a lot of dialogue. The sentences are short.
Two uncommon words are central to understanding the movie.
One I knew due to the game, the other one I didn’t because it’s movie only. But about half movie in, it became apparent with context anyway.

I started watching Digimon without subs two weeks ago. While some parts are still hard to grasp, the fact that I watched it so much as a kid means that I can still follow what’s happening either way haha. Seems like I’ve found the perfect anime starter for myself, those 150ish episodes will take a few months to get through and I can’t wait to see where I’ll be at comprehension-wise at the end
