Watched first episode of Blue Exorcist and read one chapter of Usagi Drop.
I have Hyate the Combat Butler, Noragami, I’m Sakamoto you know? And Totoro’s cook book unread on my bookshelf.
I think I’ll read Noragami next. I liked the anime but never read the manga.

Personally I’d do combat butler next (don’t know the others), only because I feel like noragami would be more difficult with (assuming interactions with gods)keigo and possibly more ancient speech patterns, as well as more technical vocab like “blessed vessel” . Either way you’ll get something out of it so enjoy 
Yesterday I watched 2 episodes of dungeon meishi. I tried to stay up late enough to watch Blue Exorcist, but instead fell asleep watching おっさんのパンツがなんだっていいじゃないか which I could follow the plot.
I’m still keeping with the N5 level graded readers, trying to improve my reading. The long road of reading in Japanese continues.
I finished the first Harry Potter just before new year. I’ve now started 星界の紋章 (Crest of Stars in English). It’s way harder than Harry Potter I feel, but it’s interesting to read a work originally written in Japanese. I just picked a book at semi-random in the list of books that got the 星雲 price (Nebula price, equivalent to the same-named price in English, or even the Hugo price: all those are prestigious prices that are awarded to science fiction books).
Biggest difference from a language point of view is that the author uses kango — words created by sticking two kanji together and using their onyomi — extensively. I discover lots of kango words that are really frequent according to yomitan (< 3000 frequency) but that I never saw in Harry Potter.
It’s shorter than Harry Potter but I only read 10% in January. I’ll have to pick up the rhythm or it will take forever, but the exposition was really tough (speaking about discovering a new elementary particle, nuclear fusion stuff, etc).

Watched the 2nd episode of しろくまカフェ last night with JP subs. Since I’ve watched it several times already with EN subs, it actually wasn’t that bad. I’ll keep watching stuff with JP subs (when they’re actually available) since they seem to help.
I watched Japanese TV yesterday.
I didn’t check the name, but it was a romance where a guy bought her flowers and she “he loves me, he loves me not” the flower petals while he watched, that’s gotta hurt.
Also watched a cooking show. They cooked crepes, daikon and Taro mashed potatoes.
Watched more TV.
Chibiko monster is a show where they give parenting advice. The advice is “when kids say ‘I hate you(ママが嫌だ)’ it means they need something try hugs, praise and and food”
Japanese dokidoki no reaction where celeberties (it was SixTones members) watch tik tok and can’t laugh/smile or cringe.
I read two chapters of Shikimori-san (the manga). Rom-com vocab and terms are definitely one of the areas I’m most familiar when it comes to Japanese~

So I watched several things
I watched the equivalent of PBS kids for about 3 hours.
I watched on TV broadcast, but they have a website too.
And two episodes of dungeon meishi on Netflix. This one I watched with Japanese subs, and my boyfriend watched with English. I translate in real time, and he’d correct me if I missed something.
If you download on onto your device and watch in airplane mode you can get around ‘one device at a time’

Yesterday I saw Maboroshi ( アリスとテレスのまぼろし工場) in Japanese with Japanese subtitles.
I’ve now printed the related Japanese Wikipedia article (the one linked above) to see what I did understand and what I thought I did understand. 
I will then see the film with subtitles in either English or Spanish to see what it was really all about. 
I watched 2.5 episodes of “わたしの幸せ結婚”.
Girl is like “I wanna wait on you hand and foot and apologize for every breath I take” and the Guy “It must be a trap, If I thank you, you’re gonna stab me in the back” and they are both super scared all the time.
I watched new episode of Dungeon Meishi
Read chapter 2 in Hayate. Combat felt like watching munin rider in one punch. He didn’t punch anyone, just blead allot, and said “could you please give her back?” and it worked 
I haven’t been doing much immersion lately: haven’t felt like it. I have kept up with studying though, somehow. I did just finish up a couple of easy graded reader stories, so that’s a start.
Watched an episode of hajimete no otsukai, and half an episode of わたしの幸せ結婚 .

Today I tried a new method for reading the NHK NEWS WEB EASY news:
- It would be preferable to use a Japanese dictionary similar to the one they use within the articles to round up the method, any suggestion!?
Thus, you can carry out the whole reading process (reading, looking up words, taking notes…) in Japanese. You also practice writing hiragana (and kanji) at normal speed and testing your knowledge of kanji readings, both on and kun.
It is possible to set up yomichan so it gives you a Japanese definition. I was able to set it up using this guide, but it’s not easy: [#]Setting up Rikaitan (tatsumoto-ren.github.io)

Surfing through the links really enhances both reading ability, inner language understanding and vocabulary.
Today I read this, amongst other news, learned a lot about 絹 and 蚕 and 繭… Such a nice kanji in itself, 繭. It’s like a little story in a single image. Even learned the word ガ, its kanji being of course 蛾. 
Watched another episode of blue Exorcist.
Also, I understood 80% of the words in Graduation speach.
There was lyric video. First time two teachers sang along. Then asked everyone else to sing along too. The only kanji that I didn’t know was 翼. つば
