Japanese explanations

I want to know if Bunpro is going to introduce the Japanese explanations in Japanese. It would be pretty nice.

Hello people. I returned after a long period of time and I’m not sure about how to use the forum so please feel free to tell me if I’m doing something wrong like duplicating post or something like that (it doesn’t seems to)

That feature was added in November last year, but only for N1 grammar.
@Chihiro I hope it’s okay to ask you since you made that announcement: Has there been any feedback / planned updates to that feature?
Is an expansion of that feature to other N-levels likely at this current time?

Hi @kokaito and @FubuMiOkaKoro! (Feel free to ask me anytime :smile_cat:)

Yes, we added the Japanese explanations for N1 grammar last year, and we’re now working on N2! For N2 (and eventually N1 as well), we’ll be adding furigana.

(For other levels, it might be a bit more challenging to provide Japanese explanations at the same level as the English ones, using only the grammar points that have been taught, since they often cover more basic grammar points…)

楽しみにしていてください :hatching_chick::tulip:

It’s probably not the biggest priority, but worth the effort in the long run for those of us lifetime members (and future ones) that use bunpro like a grammar dictionary.

To be fair, maybe we should go out and find a native one instead.

If I was going to give something more priority in the same category, it’d be giving the synonym / antonym explanations in Japanese.

Hi @hx9 ! Are you referring to Related Grammar Descriptions that we released recently?

If so, since it’s a very new feature and we’re currently working on other levels, we haven’t even discussed the Japanese version yet, but it seems possible! :eyes: :brain:

Thank you for your comment!
