JLPT December 2024

going to try and get thru some more practice tests till wednesday, - reread genki on Thursday and try not to study friday or saturday - I’ll be in a sunnier location than usual and quite frankly I should enjoy it - it’s just the N5 - if I don’t know it by Thursday i’m probably hosed anyways

I once scheduled a totally different type of exam I had to travel for and I picked my hotel next to a wafflehouse cause I knew once it was over either way I wanted loaded hashbrowns

Same here! I did mock grammar/reading and some listening tests over the weekend. Going to take it easy for the remaining of the week and let everything sit and stew a bit. Maybe will do a few short listening tests, but mostly reading the novel I’ve been reading for the last 3 months (yes I’m that slow)…

If you’re taking the test in Japan, you can login to the JEES website and get your test site information (tap the “Check and modify applicant’s information” from the sidebar, then tap “display the applicant’s information” button). That same page can be printed and brought in for the test, in lieu of the postcard.

See this FAQ as well (under “Test Voucher”): 2024年第2回試験実施案内 - JEES 日本語能力試験

I am taking the N4 (my first JLPT test) on Sunday. Super nervous. I have come close with a lot of the practice tests, but I have no idea how it will go.

And so we reach the first day of the final week.

Still have no idea if I’m under or over prepared.

Less than one week for December 1st!

I’ll be taking N5 in Osaka, anyone else there by chance?

Good luck everyone! :raised_hands::raised_hands:

Good luck to everyone going for the December exam! Fingers-crossed everyone finds it manageable and can then enjoy a nice holiday break after.

I took the summer exam and this one just came up too quickly. Will go for N3 next summer.

I have a passport and can definitely to Vancouver in the summer

I am very underprepared - but I plan on doing as much as I can Wed/Thurs and then cooling the brain Fri/Sat - TBH after the last year if I’m not ready it’s due to my failure in study technique, not due to hours or time spent the last week

I’m not someone who gets stressed easily, but I’m really feeling it at the moment. I’ve never put so much effort into a test before, even during my university years.

What is everyone planning to do to let off steam after the exam?

I’ll be in Hawaii - I’ll probably just do nothing in the sun

Preparing popcorn to watch Hunger Games here

Well that adds some extra pressure to do well on the JLPT … I’d never have signed up for it if I knew that’s what happens to those who struggle :scream:
