tomorrow in two weeks for christs sake. n1 content is so hard sometimes i feel like a beginner again.

Yes… Even though I’ve prepared a lot. Sometimes I think the more effort we’ve put into something, if anything, it becomes even more nerve-wracking. The exact opposite feeling of “nothing to lose”. :upside_down_face:

I’ll be taking the N5 for the first time this December!

absolutely. the closer the day gets, the less i feel like studying. every unknown word makes me more nervous, and since n1 is so vast, it happens nonstop.

It makes it even worse when you’re sure you passed…and you fail again…

Yeah, I’m definitely slowing down for the line, rather than sprinting flat out for it

I was relatively confident that I’ll pass N1 this December. The strategy is to farm points in the listening and just scrape by in the other sections

well in my defense…i am in Alaska so I gotta go somewhere - direct flight - might as well be relaxed for exam

My strategy is the opposite lol. I’m pretty confident that any passing score on listening will be enough for me to pass overall because my language knowledge score should be pretty high.

I wish I was signed up :sob:

There’s no way I would have thought I’d be able to pass when the sign-up deadline ended and it’s only held once a year in my small country so maybe next december…

Good luck everyone!

It’s been awfully quiet this last week :eyes:
This will be my first “exam” in like three years so I’m actually excited about it.
Feeling relatively well prepared after passing all bunpro N3 practice exams between 80-90%

Best of luck to everyone :sunglasses:

I’m taking N4 this year after failing it big time three years ago. I definitely feel more ready, but the fear of failure is kinda overwhelming since I can’t shut up about taking the exam and now I feel like there’s a lot of expectation around it.

Anyway, I know for sure that if I fail, I’m not gonna try again. I’ll just move on and continue with further material and accept the fact that I do poorly on exams :woman_shrugging:t3:

Good luck on Sunday everyone!

Random thought, but do y’all think the test will be different/easier/harder due to the implementation of CEFR scores?

I absolutely agree, the only reason I’m taking the test is because it only costs $15 where I live and it’s an hour away by bus. Had it been more expensive or harder to get to, I wouldn’t have thought about attempting it.

not really, cus the cefr test tests more, doesnt it? So you can’t really compare CEFR with JLPT that well, so I doubt it’ll change the test much at all right now; however, in the future, they may make the JLPT more the like CEFR but not for the time being I dont think
