JLPT December 2025

This one has the same info under “other countries” : Test Results Announcement | JLPT Japanese-Language Proficiency Test

Do they not get released on the same day universally anyway?

I always assumed they did tbh

Also FWIW results are usually uploaded midnight on the day but not “officially” released until 10am

I was under the impression that Japan and overall East Asia’s results were released a bit earlier, but not sure if it’s assumption on my part or something I actually read somewhere.

Internet tells me that 10am JST is 8pm for me, the wait will be excrutiating

I was really hoping for Monday, but guess Friday is only a few extra days. Even though, I’m sure I failed (damn that listening), I still just want to know. Yes, I’m impatient

Hi there.

Despite the common misconception, kakapos are impatient by nature.
I’ve been refreshing this thread every day since the end of the test. Many times a day.

Now, as a wise website once said…

Let’s be strong. :mountain:

Its our lack of ability to fly that really does it, I think

Well, good luck everyone for Friday!

I don’t know why this info is not shared more, but on 30th you can check your results here if you took the JLPT not in Japan:

https://www.jlpt-overseas.jp/onlineresults/

The website is only online when the results are out

[edit]You’ll still get your results and statistics from your local host institution, in Germany that’s around March.

Yep JLPT US site confirms the 30th at 10AM JST, which I think is actually like the 29th at 10PM for my time zone so I kinda shave a day off. Still going absolutely nuts though. I think I sailed through reading and vocab easily but worst case scenario on listening was probably 14/28. I maaaaybe got 16 or even 17 best case but I can’t stop mulling over their crazy scaling lol

I had a dream last night I got 98/90 for listening and 116/??? for reading on the n2… numbers dont make sense but that’s dream logic for you. I distinctly remember thinking in my dream, wow all my podcast listening paid off. I started listening to podcasts AFTER the exam… XD

Anyway, I woke up extremely happy, so I’ll hold onto that feeling even if I fail the real test HAHA

also its extra funny waking up and realising I dreamed 98/90 because in my dream I also thought “wow only 2 points from the full score of 90!!”

why do dreams have such impossible logic?

I’ve had crazy bad luck this entire week, let’s hope it’s in preparation for a good surprise tomorrow and not an omen of what’s to come

Looks like the overseas results are sticking firm to the planned time lol. I’ve been frequently asking myself over these past two months “Wait, did I actually go somewhere and take a 5 hour test in Japanese?” because it seems like a fever dream that I did that at all. Good luck everyone!

A Japanese friend of mine (who knows some Japanese from learning at home) ended up taking the N1 in Dec because there were no more spots in the other tests… I’m excited to find out if he passed lol

Congratulations @cafelatte ! Was it N1 or N2 ?

I saw a fellow classmate who took N2 in speaking practice class, they asked if I planned to stay awake until 2 am (local result time) :joy: Sounds nice on paper but I’m working tomorrow and I can’t imagine how terrible it would be to find out I failed right in the middle of the night. Finger crossed for those of you who will get their results soon, here I’m heading to bed instead

I failed N3 :sob:
Passed all sections but was 3 points off on the overall pass marks. Gotta run it back in summer! :books:
