JLPT December 2025

Passed N5, 91 :joy:. My saving grace was the vocab & grammar/reading scores being combined as I found the grammar really hard.

Now that the paranoia of passing or not is over the paranoia of “oh man I hope my certificate doesn’t get lost in the mail” begins. We got a new mailman and I’ve gotten at least two other people’s magazines recently :weary:

180/180 on the N5! I was confident that I passed, but I’m still excited by the high score

Aiming for N3 December 2026!

I passed N5! My score wasn’t incredible or anything but seeing the passing result made me so happy. I’ll push for N4 this year! Big thank you to the bunpro team for the mock tests, really helped me get ready for this.

Managed to pass N3 from 94/180 fail in July to 112 now  Mostly reading, some listening gains.

Passed N1! Thank you Bunpro.
From N2 to N1, I didn’t even have to buy any additional textbooks.
Literally all I did was go through the N1 grammar points on this app. So far the most economic/efficient way of learning for me.

Passed N4! Super happy but also kinda disappointed with my score - I really thought I was prepared better :sleepy:

Anyway, I need to improve my listening for N3, any tips?

Congrats for all your success ! Especially N1 i’m very impressed.
I passed N3 with 131/180 only 14 months after starting learning Japanese after studying so hard.
Fortunately in November I stopped studying and only practiced reading and listening, in order to read/understand quickly enough for the exam.

I passed the N4! It’s meaningless as I only took it to asses my self-learning abilities, and would have taken the N3 in the summer regardless, but the feeling of accomplishment is nice!
I have so much more to learn now, though, hehe

I’m so happy with my result, especially because this was my first JLPT attempt and I wasn’t very self confident. Congratulations to everyone else who passed!

I failed the N3 with 32/26/28.
It’s quite frustrating since from July to December I studied almost everyday with Bunpro. In addition with the voc and grammar reviews, I trained for the exam with two of the Bunpro’s practice exams which I passed easily and So Matome books, and start watching easy videos in Japanese. Even though I really felt progress in comparaison with December 2024 where I scored 30/24/26, in the end I only improved by 2/60 points in each section. (And in the two exams I scored A for Voc and B for Grammar).
After a one month break after JLPT, I was motivated but now I am a bit discouraged. :weary:

Failed N1 by just 2 points :sob: The interesting part is, that I’ve got 40 points in the listening section, but my answers did not align at all with the leaked answers online. So either the leaks were wrong or the organizers finally have different tests for different regions.

Still happy with the results, since I’ve improved in every section  See y’all in July.

Passed N3 with a 131. Strong on reading, solid on language knowledge, ok on listening. No plans to take N2 for a looooooooong time (if at all!)

It’s very corporate and cheesy but I’ve heard ‘deferred success’ used rather than failure. A better way of thinking.

I passed N2, too  38/48/49. I was so worried, lol. I don’t really understand how I got an A on vocab and grammar both, but only 38 points in that section on the whole. Some grading magic I guess 笑

Passed N4 !
I was super worried about listening since I fumbled and misaligned my little dots right in the middle of it, but while my mark isn’t great it was enough not to get me disqualified :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Passed the N2, happy with the result! 頑張った甲斐がありました!

Congrats to all who passed, and for those who did not: 諦めずに頑張り続けてください!

Passed N4, kind of expected a higher score (I apparently did worse than expected in the grammar section), but I’m still very pleased! Onward to N3!
