I didn’t study as much grammar as I had hoped, so my best bet is to get 60 points in listening and 40 for grammar and reading. It is what it is.

It’s gonna be a close one for me I think! I haven’t studied nearly as much as I planned to for the N3, but oh well. It is what it is.

Well I’ve passed two of two practice tests so far, so confidence is slowly building. Getting results for 三回目の模試 this week, but honestly there’s a possibility I pass this thing. Wild to say

Out of interest, which organisation runs those practice tests, and how do you rate them?

I’m just taking them through my school. They come out of the ベスト模試 textbook I think. I don’t know how to rate them necessarily as I’ve never taken an actual JLPT test before, but from what I’ve seen I feel it’s likely they track fairly closely with the real deal. There’s a good variance in difficulty just like the real test (sometimes listening is really tough, other times reading is a bit harder), but overall my results have been pretty consistent, and I’d be quite surprised if they differed more than 10-15 points from what I get on the actual exam.

I’m far far behind in my studies for the N4 (figured out that I would not study more as an exchange student than as a student in my own country, duh), but I’m going fast enough to cover all of the N2 materials before 2027 :DD

I’ll need a lot of luck to obtain a passing score

I finally finished all Migii JLPT N3 practice for the grammar and reading part as I was too slow on my first mock test…
I have around 300 vocabulary missing from the Bunpro N3 list.
The exam is in three days there’s no point cramming that.
I’ve accepted my fate, whether I 満点 the test or barely 合格 it is up to the people who created this year’s JLPT and how many tricky question they’ve put

Can’t wait to be done with it and crack on my N2 studies

Good luck for anyone attempting this JLPT test. Just keep pushing no matter the result.

Alright N1 gang, how we feeling? I felt that the 文字語彙 was actually a bit easier than expected, the 文法 was pretty tough, and the 読解 was maybe longer than usual, but hard to tell cuz I spent a bit longer on grammar and sentence order than I should have.

The listening was fine, but the 即答問題 were pretty rough.

Overall I’d say it’s still within expectations and I’m hoping things ultimately went well, but will see at the end of August (assuming I heard that final announcement right :joy:)

Here’s a reminder not to discuss the content of the test online.

Well well well, this definitely didn’t go as well as N4 or N3 last year, but I knew this one was going to be more of a stretch. Will be interesting to see the results in late August. I suppose if I didn’t make it or the score is embarrassingly low I can always go again in December (assuming I can get a spot lol)

After the chaotic registration, the actual test taking experience in Leiden was quite nice. Would recommend (lovely city too)
