Results are worse then expected, but a win is a win! Really happy with getting my N4 after 14 months of study.
A bit anxious for the N3 in the December now though.

I passed, but… 
The only excuse I can make for myself is terrible audio quality (we were in a big school gym, where sound from old speakers was making an echo) and 3 or 4 answers that I couldn’t erase enitrely while marking another one, so I’m not sure they were correctly scanned by the machine.
No more excuses, after all, passed exam is passed and now I’ve got much more time to prepare for december N4 than I had for N5

First time ever taking this exam and did it here in Japan. Was doubtful that I was going to pass because I had a difficult time with the audio section, but I’m glad that I just barely made it. I was going back and forth on whether to take N4 in December, but right when I finally decided that I would, the site updated to say that N5 ~ N3 are all filled up. So I guess next year I’ll attempt N4 or maybe even N3. We’ll see!
Regardless, really proud of myself! Passing this and recently my Japanese driver’s license test has made this such a good summer for me with making progress in life.

I have no idea how I got so high in listening when I feel I fumbled everything, but I will TAKE IT

I did it and I’m so happy with it. No qualms about that listening score whatsoever. I was very prepared to see a failing score. What a relief. I’ve never been nervous about a test score like this before.
[Edit] Actually, the passing sectional score is 19/60, isn’t it? In that case, maybe my listening score is actually quite decent.

After two failed attempts (80 and 86) I finalled pass the N3 this time. I am a bit disappointed. I was expecting something higher (around 120), and especially in the reading section. In all cases, I do not understand at all how listening can be my strong point. Don’t sure at all if it is hopeless or not
to sit for the N2 in December…

A note on the score - I expected such low score, as I am nowhere at comfortable N3 level, but I specifically studied for the test. I would not have been surprised if I had failed. I found some good advice on how to maximize my points in order to pass and … it worked. If anyone interested, the forum is available here on Bunpro.
I had the same experience with the C1 DELE in Spanish, I needed that exam completed for work and I barely managed to pass but I did it. Actually, I had a slight feeling one of my Spanish teachers resented me because of this, alas, I do not care.
Congrats to those who passed and those who have not passed… First, it is okay if you remain silent about it, not everyone is motivated by flaunting their struggles. Second, passing or not the JLPT is not an indicator of your Japanese skills - it is an indicator if you can pass a highly standardized test or not, at max. Third, learning is a journey not a destination, if you enjoy the scenery, just continue, step by step.

If they cleared the minimum section and overall score requirements, they passed, it is not just the overall score that counts.
It’s just N5, but I’m still happy 
I achieved my minimum goal (A for percentage in each section) and now I feel a bit more confident about trying for N4 in December.

If the part of the registration number after 26A indicates the test venue, then maybe I was in the same school gym as you. The whole setting brought back memories of my matura exams, so the sound quality was actually better than I expected xD

Can you please share your plan, and the resources were used to reach N2 in one year and few months?
I just passed N5 and will take N4 this December.
