Unfortunately, verbs in all their forms (i.e. 止まる、止まります、止まって、止まらない) are not playable in a game of Shiritori. I highly recommend you look at the Initial Post of the thread and double check the rules for Shiritori, and try again next game!

Yes, you can start the next word with either しょ、よ、しょう or よう. I’m assuming you meant if the word ends with しょ (not start), in your second question.

No, I actually meant start, as I was referring to whether my new word could start with しょう if the second option of what I have asked had been true :wink:
