I just noticed that my streak and my days studied have diverged:
Having recently seen the discussion over at Study Streak is higher than days studied, I first thought I might have the same problem, but I think in my case, it’s a little different.
I investigated a little further and found that I was in fact missing two days in my stats:
For 2026-08-12 and 2026-08-14, no reviews were recorded. The 99 days studied cover the entire span whereas the streak counts only the 97 days for which the stats show items studied.
What’s the strangest about it is that I shouldn’t be having a 97 streak at all with two days missing like that. If the stats information were in fact true, my streak should have ended on 2026-08-12 and I should be at only 11 now.
However, I definitely did do reviews on the two missing days and consequently should be having a 99 streak matching my days studied.
I believe I at least know why that happened: In that week, I was camping and had really bad service, but still found that the mobile app let me do reviews despite not being able to communicate with the servers consistently.
Because of that, I figured I would still be able to do reviews as usual, even when “offline”, and that really did seem to work because the app visually kept my streak alive (didn’t pay attention enough to notice it being off then, but it likely was since then), but I think the items were never properly synchronized from the app to the server when I had service later, causing the mismatch I’m seeing now.
If it helps, I didn’t clear any of the mobile app’s data on my device, so if that was persisted somehow, it might still be available.
