New Avatar Frames

Hey, I am really liking the new cosmetics feature, and 99% of the content is great. As a graphic designer, I just noticed that some of the avatars in particular are a bit lackluster in content (For example, you can still see the post processing grain in some of the many flower ones.)

I had some free time and had some Ideas, so I made a few avatars that are free to use. If the admins decide to use them, just a small credit would be fine.

If anyone cares about the process: I used Photoshop + Illustrator, and after creating them I upscaled the images using AI to make the colors pop a little better (Color Correction isnt my strong suit lol)

Origami one is my fav, awesome work, hope devs will appreciate that frames

Beautiful!

You are pretty talented!
Even if you didn’t post the possum frame. Makes since tho, that one will take a lot more time then the rest. Everything that is good takes time.

Really nice frames, i hope i get the chance to use some of them

I’m not a graphic designer and I can’t draw anything good, but I loved the idea!

To celebrate the superiority of possums, I asked ChatGPT to make some possum frames ^^

(I’m against generative AI, but I got curious… and bored.)
I want the two frames on the left now !

Anyone here up for making the ultimate possum frame? We need a professional !

Ps : I love the frames @ErLouwer  Very nice job !

This looks really good though.

Unfortunately, after I was reached out to by them, the admin team starting ghosting me for months and ive just noticed that they decided to take my ideas and recreate my frames with slight variations without crediting me. I assume because of the usage of AI? Maybe something in their Policy? Though I did clarify the usage of AI in this Post, so Im not sure.

I get not liking AI, but a bit more professional transparancy would be great.

I’m going to be honest, taking a look at the B-shop frames, I can’t see much crossover between them and yours personally. Which particular ones did you think were copied? Shame about them ghosting you though

Some of these look great! First time I am seeing them myself to be honest, not sure how I missed this. When you say that you were ghosted, was it regarding this artwork? I will try to find out what happened for you :bowing_man:.

There is an attribution data point on the cosmetic items that just isn’t showing yet as we haven’t finalized how we want to show it exactly.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to use the exact frames because we weren’t comfortable using AI generated art.

The lower-right frame is really great!
Beautiful, complete rabbit vs. half a possum who already lost its paws and claws in battle … the final victory is near! :rabbit2:

I have also noticed and been slightly frustrated by the variable and unfinished quality of the shop items. My profile card, for example, is quite pixelated- and it’s not a pixel art style, it’s a woodblock print. I can only assume it was optimised for mobile rather than PC.
I thought it was because the items are still in beta but it is out of beta now and the quality is the same.
I was hesitant to say anything because I hate to knock creative work but it would be nice if the quality was a bit more polished.

Also, I am glad the bunpro team chose not to use works that are partially AI (yay for hiring real artists) but it does make me a bit sad to see the lack of communication indicated above… To be honest, the new frames are completely different imo, so I don’t really know about credit or anything, but I do feel the original poster should have been sufficiently warned that their ideas would be used and that they wouldn’t be moving forward with OPs art itself. It does feel a bit garbage to get left behind like that when you’ve done something out of love for something and you don’t hear back properly. Even with the credit being there, it’s always good to give a heads-up.
That said, I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, and maybe that did all happen, but I just wanted to throw my 2 cents out there as a creative person myself. I hope this isn’t majorly overstepping the line to mention.

I can’t comment on any of the attribution stuff, but what exact assets are looking pixelated/not top-notch?
I can investigate.

There was a bit of image compression done, especially for the woodblock ones.
