New Grammar! Non-JLPT - 26th April 2024

The only way it can be missed is if you’re holding the iPad vertically, since you’d first have to click the Sidebar button (found on the bottom left corner of the first screenshot) in order to see this other “Add” grammar point button:

If you hold the iPad horizontally, then the “Add” grammar point button is immediately visible as shown below:

I think you were probably holding the iPad vertically at first, but now the button shows up because you’re holding it horizontally. As far as I’m aware, there’s no setting that changes this behavior (though I could be wrong).

This is what I think possibly happened too. I remember the first time I was looking for the side bar and couldn’t find it, it was when that update went live.

@Sfyri if what @Jose7822 suggested was the issue, hopefully that should have solved it! If not, please let me know what type/size of iPad you’re using and I’ll pass it on to the design team just in case there’s some weird sizing incompatibility.

I cannot help but notice they are still labelled as “N0” on the grammar info. for example がいい is labelled “N0 Lesson 2 12/18”

That was it, I always view Bunpro vertically and just never noticed the sidebar button in the lower left.

Does that include having a N0 section in the grammar list?

Do you plan to add a progress bar for non-jlpt grammar points in the future? Personally I like it to see how many grammar points I’ve already studied in a group and how many there are left. Also if new grammar points are added I can clearly see it on my dashboard because not only numbers are updated but the bar changed.

When you add the next batch of non-JLPT grammar, will it be in the coming deck or in a new post like this one?

It will be added to the deck automatically, but we will do another announcement post for it.

@xyc1993 we could probably organize this! I don’t think we have enough points to warrant it just yet, but maybe once we get a couple more batches out? It’s something for @Jake to have a think about as well.

Just posting to say ‘+1’ for the ability to browse these grammar points outside of this post. My instinct was to go to Content -> Lessons -> Non-JLPT

keep up the good work

Is audio (and also Japanese hints) still planned for these new items?

For example ならともかく (JLPT N2) | Bunpro doesn’t have them, and it will soon be half a year since the items were added.
