This is a discussion topic for the updated N5 Lesson 9 reading passages. (May 2024)
Hello,
In the third line of the γγΉγΏγΌγγγ―γΉγ conversation, the speaker uses non-past form to speak about their habits. But then at the end, they switch to past form to mention that γΉγΏγΌγγγ―γΉ was γη΅ζ§ζ··γγ§γγΎγγγ, even though there was no prior mention of a specific past visit.
Is this normal in Japanese? Anyone willing to explain how I might be able to wrap my head around that?
Thanks!
