Y’know, while I love community events like this so much, and while acknowledging how much work goes into organising events like this, I can’t help but be a little disappointed in this one. We completed the race on April 6th. Three weeks later, on April 28, nobody had received their badge yet, and we started walking back to the starting point in a playful response to the complete silence and actually took a staggering 90,922 steps with a very small party. On June 30th, almost 3 months after finishing the race, while there was still no sign of any communication, a new race pops up on the forum and without a word about the colossal wait, mrnoone announces in this thread that we’ll be getting the badges by Monday. Well as I’m typing this, it just turned Wednesday over here, and I still don’t have a badge. I don’t feel like sending a PM about it. It’s just too much to have jump through so many hoops to get that badge. While appreciating the wonderful event and the effort that goes into organising it, I think this is a bad show.

I did send the PM, but as of yet no response and no badge. With the promise being Monday, I’d have expected at the very least a “sorry, things are delayed, please wait a little longer” in here.

I very much appreciate all the time and effort that must have gone into setting up the event, and the time and effort that probably goes into finishing it up by getting everyone their badge. I suppose I’m just a little disappointed in the lack of communication this time, with the long time between the event finishing and it being acknowledged as finished, and now with the promise that hasn’t come to fruition yet.

I contacted @mrnoone on Monday, but unfortunately I did not get any feedback yet.
But it‘s good to hear that this seems not to be a bug specific to my account.

I DMed on Tuesday here in Japan, and the badge was assigned to me about 6 hours ago. I have to agree; this one fell pretty flat with how long it took for the badge to be assigned. I also think starting a whole new race before this one was fully wrapped up wasn’t the right move.
I have no idea what happens behind the scenes, but with this being my 3rd race, this was definitely out of the norm.

I hope everyone got their badges now!

Hey, some news!
We have assigned most of the badges, there are around 30 users left that did not get it yet, and will be assigned the badge within next 24 hours.

ALSO, everybody that took part in the walkback - will get the badge too! :star_struck:

If you won’t get it within next 24 hours, just [DM] me.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Dominik from Bunpro :bowing_man:

Thanks for the great race everybody :japanese_castle:
