Of course, this character hasn’t been used to portray the number 20 for a while now, but it still exists in various place names and rarely in surnames.
I didn’t know this kanji existed! For a brief instant I thought you forgot a stroke in 甘…

We’re well into winter now and I just realised I haven’t done this one yet.
I always disliked the direction of the two 二 strokes in 冬. I always want to draw them in the other direction, like in 顔. It just feels better for me. I think it’s just because the arc does not follow the hand when you’re right-handed. Same for 寒.
This. I was drawing out 終 a lot as a practice character recently, and I had to physically stop myself from drawing them right-to-left when working on the 冬 part.
I know that there’s probably an explanation about how the parts of this kanji mean something or another which, when put together, means depression. But I still say that gloom and depression is what you get when you write this kanji. Anything over 20 strokes is too much for me.
At least the components are fairly straightforward, with the exception of the dotted 凶 that I haven’t encountered before.
I worked on this on Christmas day actually. As a character, it’s not too bad, even being over 20 strokes. The worst part is trying to fit it in whatever space you’re writing it in. If you’re trying to write on ruled paper, You have to be aware of both how thick and tall you write it as it has so many different components to keep in mind.
I feel the same way.

I had a day off yesterday, but I’m back today! I have hardly any practice of writing this one, so I’m quite happy with how it turned out.

This one is of course related to calligraphy, so I decided to do it today.
鬯 means fragrant herbs, but reference to libations I’m pretty sure.
Gave this one a try too, for slightly different reasons!
What a funny character. At least, you might think that if you read over some Japanese Internet Message Boards, or watch some Japanese streamers. I love the process of 「草」becoming the Japanese equivalent to English’s “lol”, I had actually been watching some Japanese streamers before learning this Kanji so when I found out it actually means “Grass” or “Weed”, I was more than a little confused w.
