I’ve read that といいです(ね) is used for “wishing for the good luck of somebody other than yourself” and といいんですが is used “to say what you hope for, for your own good”.
So… Why aren’t these wrong?
Also, is there a grammar point for といいんですが ?

Sorry for the extremely slow answer 
It is as you say. ね is often used when wishing for another person (people), or for the speaker and another person (people) together (as a group).
なぁ、ん・のですが、ん・のですけ（れ）ど（も） is often used when the speaker is wishing for himself.
It is not a stiff rule though. I would say its good practice.
I will revamp the grammar point so it will be included in the sentences.
