Yeah, I’ve noticed something similar for a long time (and also reported it I think?) but it never really got fixed. For some reason sometimes reviews just don’t appear at the turn of the hour and appear randomly throughout the hour, sometimes just a few minutes before the next hour.

Also another bug to report relating to audio playback on the mobile app: if there is other audio (like music) playing when Bunpro plays an audio clip, the other audio source gets quieted down then brought back up to normal volume once the Bunpro audio clip finishes… but sometimes it gets stuck on the lower volume as if Bunpro never finished playing audio. The only “fix” is to pause/resume the other audio, or close the Bunpro app.

The screen is sometimes off when I submit my
answer. I had a similar bug when I was using firefox/chromium so the solution was to use the app but now that I am using the app it’s a bit strange that I still have something like this. It is not always, it only appears once in a while and if I try to continue this session it keeps off

Sometimes, sessions seem to randomly enter Wrap-up now.
This happened to me today, and then I had a negative number of questions remaining:

Just saw the same today as well. Safari on MacOS.

Was working through about ~45 reviews, got to ~30, then ~15 or so were removed and I was in the wrap-up mode.

The Bunpro site doesn’t seem to load at all at the moment.
Just stuck in a loop of:

TTS for Vocabulary didn’t work in the beta on iPhone in the App and doesn’t work in the Offical release either. Reported the Problem in the Apps Feedback Form 5 Month ago but never got an answer or saw any fix.

Also for the Forum an option to Reply to this thread without having to scroll down almost 6k messages would be awesome.

I also was on vacation mode for a few months and now I am having difficulty updating my reviews. The updates looks like it started to hang at around 30% processed but it goes up a couple percent every time I refresh and try to disable vacation mode again. Would appreciate any help resolving this issue so I can get back to my reviews, thank you!

Upon looking at the network data, batch_prossess_vacation_mode returns a 503 after a few seconds.

I am on hunt for this bug, but it is extremelly hard to reproduce.
Did you perhaps minimize the app for some time before and then reopened later?

This is new? I’ve still got your bug report regarding the minus-numbers issue from the other day to look into.
Any conditions to replicate this as far as you could tell?
My guess is it happens when new items become due on the hour.

The Bunpro site doesn’t seem to load at all at the moment.

Can’t see any outages that occured around the time you submitted this.
Will keep an eye out.

All Vocab audio just doesn’t play at all? What are you noticing?

Checked your profile, you don’t have TTS audio disabled.
Are you doing fill-in-the-blank style Reviews? Or the single-word ones?
If you can give me an example of a sentence/item that isn’t working, I can look into it.

On checking your account, it seems to have exited OK?
Did it just have multiple time-outs before it started working?

It seems new - it’s only recently that Wrap-up mode has been starting at random points during Reviews!
But it’s very rare that it happens :slight_smile:

Just the normal vocab reviews where you see a Kanji and write the translation. I tried various review methods and settings but never got it to work, issue already existed in the beta. If I use Safari or any other browser it works as intended, just the App doesn’t work.

I am on latest iOS too and also tried on other Devices (iPad and iPhone)

Keep getting HTTP 400 while trying to import words via jmdict id to custom vocab deck

Deck: Import Deck Vocab | Bunpro

  1. Try to import via jmdict id.

  2. Stuck at “Saving”

Yes, I’m fine now thanks for checking in! I just kept restarting the process until it eventually reached 100%.

I’m also getting errors while trying to add cards to a custom deck. When I attempt to save the imported items I get a bunch of FetchErrors in the console while the progress is stuck at 0%. This wasn’t the case earlier when I first ran the import tool but I had to exit because it originally got stuck at around 10% (I was trying to import around 6,000 cards from Anki).

Upon exiting and attempting to import again several times I noticed that each time 100 cards were successfully saved so it seems like only the first fetch is succeeding.

I then tried to only import one batch with fewer than 500 words but that doesn’t seem to help, the fetch is capped at 100 words.

Also this seems very similar to the issue I had earlier when turning vacation mode off and I had a large number of reviews that need to be updated and only a small batch was able to update at a time so I had to restart multiple times to update all my reviews. Since this is too tedious to do with a 6,000 word deck, I’ll wait until a fix for the import tool is available.

In addition, the latest batch of imports I attempted to mark as known/mastered with the Know All choice in the dropdown fails with a 414 URI Too Long error. I tried deleting that unit so I can re-import the batch but the response reports that the delete service is unavailable.

I then created a new deck with a single unit/batch of < 500 words and the save imports process doesn’t error out but I still get the URI is too long error when I try to click Know All for the unit.

Edit: In the end, I actually was able to master all the words in my deck by reducing the batch size to 400 to avoid the URL error as well as using a separate deck for each batch to avoid the import issues. Really appreciate this feature even though it’s still in beta and looking forward to when its polished and officially released.

Hey team,

I found that sometimes while I reading through the learning then it suddenly close the page and show “Added to Known” and the learning would disappear from my learning list. I’ve experienced this a few times and it quite annoying me until I found that there are some N3 items show as completed and I’m not sure how to bring them back to my learning queue. Can you help me looking into this issue?

User Furigana over numbers

For some mysterious reason, user furigana over numbers is not recorded for a long time.

For instance, consider this page: 余り (JLPT N5) | Bunpro
Here is how it looks like:

I know how to read numbers, so I normally do something like this:

but trust me, after a couple days, I will see those furigana again.
It’s quite annoying to see that I’m learning a lot of kanjis so I don’t need furigana over them, but plain numbers still have furigana over them.

PS: I use both the web app and the Android app (mainly the latter)

I think 破る is broken. It is only when I try to answer with ‘to break’ that it is considered incorrect. The rest of the given translations work perfectly.

edit - ‘break’ by itself seems to work too
