Feedback - Bug Reports

I think I had this one, too. It was fixed for me by disabling auto expand info. Not the best solution, but still easier than refreshing. You could give it a try :slight_smile:

The feedback page (Log in | Bunpro) gives this error:

500: INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR
Code: `ROUTER_EXTERNAL_TARGET_CONNECTION_ERROR`
ID: `fra1::wlvzk-1749032382518-628b1f5742a0`

ID changes on every reload. Both on desktop/firefox, and android/chrome.

I noticed it a week or two ago I guess? I thought it was a temporary error/outage, but after I reported an error today, I saw it’s still there.

Hello, i am having this (maybe) bug for a vocab review of 初旬 (しょじゅん) where i type it in but it says that it wants something similar. Maybe this is my mistake and it I am unable to see it. The answer for the question also says it that it is 初旬 and looking at the sentence in the examples for the word it also says it.

Thanks for the feedback!
Seems this was a mistake on our end.

We’ve fixed it now! Thanks~

Hi there! Are you still seeing this?

Is the background supposed to look like that? It started looking like that today, and I’m honestly not sure if that’s intended or not. IMO, it looked much better just being blank/gray like before.

Not anymore. Thanks!

On the iOS app, if you search for something, open a result, then go back, the search query is cleared.

This is very annoying if you are trying to find an entry in the better supported N* categories to add something to the review list.

Not necessarily a bug but, I’d love to see the “nuance” written on the main info page / lookup of the vocab / grammar. I feel this is the best way to learn and something I endeavored to write when I used to make my own flash cards, and think it’s the most valuable part of studying with Bunpro. It often breaks down the word in such a way that the endless and seemingly disparate translations all make sense through that one context (I call it the “core essence” or “connective tissue”).

Often I come across words I’ve learned in the past through school or whatever, and will add it to my study list just so I can see how the nuance is described. But if I could see it when I look up the word, I wouldn’t have to add it as a study item just to see that part.

よろしくお願いします!

Was there any luck with finding the cause for duplicated ghosts?
I still have them on my account, in case an example is helpful.

on Jake’s 4k deck

page 1 shows the first unit (first 0-500 words)

page 2 also shows the first unit (first 0-500 words)

page 3 shows the third unit (1000-1500 words)

meaning the 500-1000 unit is inaccessible

(current Firefox)

That’s weird! Thanks for pointing it out. I will take a look.

Edit: Fixed!

Obviously I can’t see the code, but if I were to create a bug like this myself, it would probably be related to the dynamic page count calculation which divides the vocab by the page size and then rounds and then selects the first unit to display at the current page offset - as it only appears to happen on this deck which has exactly 500 words per unit - so i assume the 500 pagesize offset meant it’s going to display the unit with the 500th word :rofl:

Edit: that was quick, thanks!

Noticed some odd behavior in the “Learn Queue Settings.” Nothing major, just a bit funny.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click “Add Deck.”

  2. Switch to the General tab.

  3. Switch back to the Queue tab.

At this point, the top-left icon/action should be “Close menu,” but it shows “Return” instead. Clicking the “Return” icon updates it to the correct “Close menu” icon. If you repeat the process multiple times, you’ll need to click “Return” that many times for the “Close menu” button to appear.

When learning vocabulary, going back and forth between words can cause a single definition item to duplicate itself and eventually the whole definition area becomes filled with that item only.

I’m not sure if this is the correct place for this. I reset my Wanikani vocabulary only, and it ended up also resetting nearly my entire Bunpro N5 vocab deck (~50% to 5%). Currently in the process of manually adding back hundreds of vocab (SRS 0 :sob:)

@danlsan
In vocab abb you can add multiple vocabs at once by long tapping them.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Dominik

@Chimmsen @ndv

Following up with this now that our big update is out the way.

Is this is still ongoing? Is anybody’s accounts particularly bad, where multiple items in a Review session are being skipped?

With a bunch of other bug fixes in the background, I kinda forget most of the context behind this bug 😵‍💫

Will follow up for you now!
Sorry for the delays!
