Feedback - Bug Reports

Will make a small change to get this to work.
And yes it’s the way that Google Fonts does dynamic font swapping as you load it in

Sorry if not allowed here. Beta version of the mobile app, using the Japanese language. “Next answer” button doesn’t work in reviews

In the Bunpro Android App, version 0.4.11, I found this formatting error (notice the % characters).

Not sure if this is considered a “bug report” but did Bunpro recently get extremely more strict regarding what’s considered a “warning” vs a “mistake”? I feel like many things that are not outright wrong and used to just trigger a “warning shake” are now considered full fledged mistakes. Example:

on a notice similar to the one above, this mistake notice is almost certainly a bug. Not because it was a correct answer (it was not) but the string smells of mis-formatted text if not outright bogus!

It’s even worded like a warning usually is.

Bug in the deck completion bar:

After adding a number of items to reviews, I used the circular arrows to update my deck progress, and then it said I’d finished studying the deck:

However, on going into the deck and then back out, the real progress shows up:

Fixed! Thank you for the report!
Please let us know if you (or anyone else for that matter) notices something like this. 🙇‍♂️

While we’re talking progress bar, I’ve had mine stuck at 99% for two decks I’ve already finished. It’s only the case on mobile, web displays 100%

It looks like some N5 grammar lessons are messed up

Another one in the line of “not that important” bugs : I’ve got my audio set to autoplay and yet it only seems to work for grammar reviews, never for vocabulary. I’ve got to manually launch the audio reading for the latter. (All my reviews are also set to reading comprehension if it matters)

You have your “Hide TTS Audio” turned on!

Wait, you mean all vocab audio is AI-generated ? I thought the accompanying text meant that it contained /some/ AI audio and those wouldn’t be displayed. Can we expect non-AI vocab audio in the future then ?

The negative numbers of reviews remaining seem to be behaving differently now.

I can go lower than -10 now:

Just to give another example of this:

“Let’s try a different grammar structure here” sounds like it should be a warning…

In the iOS app, “Troubled Vocab” appears to be missing under the Special section for Cramming. It does appear on the website though.

When manually creating a Troubled Vocab Flash Card cram session on desktop, and then attempting to continue it on mobile it is entirely broken.

Not to mention when trying to do flash card style reviews, the pop up at the bottom from the previous card completely blocks the Show Answer button for the next flash card

Are you talking about the grey box on the screen?

Hey @matan1 !

With the new update to the hints, we have made a strict guideline to follow for what we mark as a ‘warning’ or a ‘mistake’.

When do we give warnings?

  • Submitted answer used is grammatically correct, but the conjugation/tense/politeness is wrong
  • meaning is generally close
  • obvious typos

When do we count an answer as wrong?

  • totally wrong grammar point used
    • Ex: たべにくい instead of たべやすい
  • Grammatically incorrect
    -weird or unnatural Japanese

彼が安全に帰れるように! is marked as wrong since it does not match the nuance of the translation.

彼は忙しそうらしい is marked as incorrect since it sounds unnatural.
However, since the hint seemed like a better fit for a warning, we have just changed it to ‘This is used to imply hearsay. Could you try using a grammar point that is used to express a direct visual observation?’
