Feedback - Bug Reports

Hey mate.

I’m pretty much always on iOS. As for settings, I have full ghosts enabled, and minimum SRS set to Beginner 2 (default is 3 I think). Can’t think of anything else that would make a difference?

Cheers!

P.S. I might disable the minimum SRS and see if that changes anything.

Hey ! Thanks for looking into this.
I’m using Android, and currently disabled ghosts to switch to a manual system. Before I had full ghost reviews activated (not minimal), with a min at seasoned 1 for ghosts creation.

If it changes something, I tend to manually set SRS levels a lot when I first encounter a new word, as often it’s vocab I’m already familiar with so I don’t start them at Beginner 0. Also my vocab SRS is set as “review less often”. Grammar is at default (I had the ghost issue with both).

Similar story to the others.

  1. Both iOS and Web.
  2. I tried changing the ghost related settings to see if anything would help, but my current setup is minimal ghosts and beginner 0 for minimum level to create ghosts.

One thing I did notice is if I had the SRS penalty set to current level / 2, the level would never drop to beginner 0. But this could just be a display/rounding thing.

The badges for level 70 and level 80 is classed as common even though level 50 and 60 is rare. Shoudln’t they be at the Epic rarity? Same issue with XP badges between 250k to 600k. The badges before these are all classed as rare, so it’s weird that theese go down a two levels instead of up one.

Same with N2 Grammar, streaks, ghosts and self study. Cram and days studied seem unaffected but it’s like badges that should be classed as Epic rarity have accidentally been given the common rarity.

I have fixed this.

I’ve run the exit process manually for you.

Sorry for the super late response!

I think I might know what could have been causing it.
It may have been by a related bug that treated wrong answers that didn’t get wrapped up to be treated as fully correct during the next session.

If you three are not big “Wrap-up-ers”, then this may have been the cause.
It has been fixed now regardless.
Are you able to please let me know over the following days if it is fixed?

If my hunch is correct with this, then I don’t think it was actually related to any of your settings.

Sounds about right! I hardly ever finish every session “normally” since I try and smash out the easy ones in my backlog quickly (then reset session and repeat ect).

Thanks for looking into it, will let you know what I see.

Huh, I’m pretty sure I’ve read about this but a few times here already, so just adding another data point in the mix.

The summary page showed me “mistakes” I didnt do and I didnt get a wrap up for. Not sure yet if they also produced ghosts or if those vocab that got wrongly marked as a mistake also got dropped down the SRS. It was just 3 extra “mistakes”, coincidentally the same amount of mistakes I actually did (so maybe the review after legitemely getting something wrong was accidentally marked as wrong, too?) . The percentage and mistake count matches the shown amount of mistakes (which is double the mistakes I actually did).

^As part of the bug fix I mentioned above your post, I “fixed” the interaction with wrong answers from previous sessions.

Basically, now, if you get a question wrong and don’t wrap it up, it will show up as wrong in your next Review session’s Summary, regardless if you get it wrong or right.

I think that is the new interaction you’re referring to?

That might be the case, those were words I remember getting wrong in the past (though I don’t know if it was the last session, but probable). Usually I do all my wrap ups and never skip, but I also remember getting logged out recently during reviews. Might just be what happened, getting them wrong last review session, getting accidentally logged out before the wrp-up and getting them shown as mistakes in todays summary.

Glad it’s not affecting ghosts and SRS level then

I ideally need to make it so that those previously-wrong questions still show up in the Wrap-up queue even in new sessions.

Will add it to my to-do list!
Please keep those eyes peeled for more SRS strangeness!

Just did a quick session. Out of 20 I got 13 wrong, and it looks like at the end of that I have 4 more ghosts than before. Considering my settings that’s probably about right but I have SRS hidden so I’m not sure.

I usually do wrap-up my sessions, so I’m not sure it’ll truly fix the issue for me. But ready to be surprised, I’ll turn back on ghost generation and see how it goes !

Yeah, still missing ghosts @veritas_nz 🥲
I started a review session with vocab sorted by descending SRS level, to get lots of seasoned 1 and above vocab (my minimal ghosts generation setting). Here is what I got wrong, with that I should have ended up with multiple ghosts and yet I only got one for 煩い

So I marked オレンジ as mastered and it says my next review is in 20 years? (I recently turned on the Master plus mode) Ill check if any others happen as I go through.

Here it is for おいっす as well.

Hello! Thank you for pointing out this bug. We have applied a fix. You can try to press ‘Reset’ and then ‘Mark as Mastered’ again and it should now show the proper interval.

SRS sorting by SRS level ascending on mobile isn’t working for me. I get 50% of the remaining queue of each level with the last half tacked on at the end.

Example Order (assume ~equal reviews/ SRS level)
first 25, Beginner 1,2,3,4
second 25 Beginner 1,2,3,4

Settings: 50 queue size, no category sorting, sort ascending SRS level
