On mobile android Firefox, this is what confetti looks like during reviews. Some kind of invisible square blocking it
Semi shouting into the void here, but whoever reads this:
All duplicate Vocab has been removed!
Stuff like user notes, reviews, sentences etc. have been merged back into their main counterpart Vocab. Nothing has been lost during this change.
Happily sitting in the void here, eagerly awaiting any and all news about vocab. Thanks for the shout!
Bunproâs vocab section is a real gem. Any improvement is great to hear about.
Canât wait for the launch of the first couple of A-decks!
Oh really, thatâs great!
But actually I can still see some vocab in E~ decks with counterparts outside those decks
On a different point, when editing a deck and adding vocab, if the last thing you search for has no search results and then you exit the âAdd Cardâ tool, the message about there being no such cards appears at the bottom of the page:
Can you please let us know which ones youâve found?
Can get them sorted quick-smart
Ah, Iâm wondering if itâs because the furigana are different
Recently, I found this one while making a unit for the 7-5-3 festival, for example, but actually I guess that the one on the left uses hiragana while the one on the right uses katakana, so maybe that counts as a difference?
I can try to find more when I have a bit more time later if itâs helpful!
Will pass these on! Thanks!
I have a hunch some of them are marked as dupes but are technically not (we use the JMDict ID system to determine what should/shouldnât be an entry)
The bugâs still happening, but Iâm getting closer to reproducing it reliably.
The steps are:
- Get a grammar question wrong
- On the next question, submit your answer. If it goes to the âsubmitted stateâ (correct or incorrect), hit backspace and the input gets cleared.
Still not 100% reproducible, but this happens most of the time this way for me.
Looks like some error-related state doesnât get cleared property from one question to the next.
Edit: I think this triggers specifically when one gets a question wrong by typing nothing.
Iâm guessing thereâs a flag related to clearing the shrugging smiley upon typing that doesnât get cleared?
Backspace clears the input, as stated above, but so does typing anything.
Im not sure if this is a bug or just a feature i dont understand but when i pass both section in N2 i fail overall?
The Japanese/English grammar explanation toggle doesnât stay switched on mobile and defaults back to English for each page.
If Iâm not mistaken the minimum score for passing Bunproâs mock tests is 70% ? Itâs still weird for it to validate individual sections with less than 70% tho.
If I understand the JLPT website correctly, thatâs how official scoring goes too. The âsectional pass markâ is about 1/3rd each time, and the overall pass mark seems to vary between around 45% and 55%.
Thanks for all the detail!
Unfortunately I still canât replicate this
Are you doing the fill-in-the-blank style Review Type?
Is there any correlation to them being Ghosts vs Regular Reviews?
Hi! Not sure if itâs been noted here yet but it looks like the rareness markers got switched up on my badges, with the N2 being common and N3 being rare. Other badges like N2 vocab are marked common too.
Hello, welcome to the forums!
To pass, two separate conditions must be met:
- Overall score of 70% or higher.
- 40% or higher score in each section.
The purpose of the 40% minimum for each section is to allow some flexibility. It means that if you perform slightly weaker in one particular section, you can still pass the test as long as you compensate for it by performing well enough in other sections to reach the required overall score.
In your case, you successfully met the individual section requirement. However, your overall score did not meet the 70% overall passing threshold for the entire test.
Keep up the great work and youâll get there. é ćŒ”ăŁăŠ!
Yep fill-in-the-blank.
I havenât noticed any relationship with ghosts, but maybe I missed it. (Edit: same behavior whether the review that gets its input cleared is a ghost or not)
Hereâs a screen recording: I validate an empty answer, type something wrong, check it, then type anything and the input field gets cleared.
You can also see that the âcanât be emptyâ message stays on.
This is either another bug, or another manifestation of the same bug.
i seeee thank you! is this a bunpro thing? i just dont undeerstand where the 70% comes from
on the jlpt website it says the overall pass marks is 90 out of 180?
âeditâ
done a little bit of googling and i see theres something about analyzing your answer patterns to try and give less points to people they think guessed answers? im so confused haha
