Good catch! Will fix
content-ădecks-ăgrammar-ăreview
review the N level you want to study. Good Luck on the JLPTâșïž
@ayuhito Iâve just added support for this on web.
Will follow this up with our content team once itâs in the app too.
I have two requests.
- One I think is more of a bug, but when using the Android App and using the Cram feature if I want to select individual cram items when I click âadd +â the selected grammar level collapses then I have to reopen the drawer and find my place in the app. This can be really frustrating when adding multiple items.
- I would love to be able to practice vocabulary words by visuals. For example a photo of a person entering somewhere for the word ć „ă or a photo of an onion for çăă. I think this would be really helpful for helping not having to translate in the head and associating visuals with actions or nouns.
My two cents.
Recently mastered vocabulary/grammar.
I know it is not Qof but gives small motivation
indeed but I still have to review all the others as well or they will stack up for a couple months right ?
Interesting stat to include!
We were thinking of sometime making Dashboard modular with optional widgets.
Also whatâs QOF?
Could we get a rework on this page to something along the lines of:
BEFORE
AFTER
If you hover over the âotherâ on the second image it would display a popup with other meanings. Still I think it would be nice to reduce to the most common first.
Yes. The SRS is reflecting realitiy- the grammar you havenât studied is rusty.
After a couple months you could reset these points, or work your way through the stack.
we misunderstood each other I think
I would like to have the option to turn off N2/N1 only for a couple month as I am passing N3 this December,
so the idea is to cut off my review time temporarily by removing N2/N1 stuff without losing my progress as it wouldnât make much sense to go back from start for such a short period, lots of these are already at an advanced level so quite solid in my head and clearly wonât be affected or Iâll just fail them when they are back in the SRS in a couple months which would be perfect.
Currently half of my review time is N2/N1 stuff as I am already well advanced in these levels so I have a lot of entries, vocab especially take a lot of review time given the quantity.
I am âwastingâ like 30/45min a day on this everyday
Ah I meant it is just personal thing I would like to be added. I doubt it would be quality of life feature
Vocab Review Enhancement (Reading mode)
Furigana shouldnât be shown for the vocab that is being tested.
A tiny thing, but after trying out the âShareâ feature once, just to see what it looks like, I am now seemingly forever stuck with a red âCode Expiredâ note on my dashboard. Could that maybe not be there?
If my memory serves me, should be able to delete your code from here and it wonât appear on your Dashboard any longer.
Ah, that worked, thanks!
Hello everyone
I would like to suggest two improvements.
-
Sometimes is difficult to know if a grammar is casual, formal or usually you use it in books, news, etc, it would be great to have this information quickly in the grammar information. For now i read it in the explanation of the grammar, but sometimes is not clear at all.
-
Maybe I am the only one but is difficult to me to remember how to use the grammar, i mean, i know when to use it or what it will do, but i can not remember if it can be used by names, verbs, etc or if it needs the ăȘăă ăăźă etc before or after. So it would help a lot to have a review to practice that.
Thank for reading.
I know so many people have probably mentioned this before, but there really should be some way to limit the number of reviews per day. Over the summer, I was reviewing quite heavily and took on a lot more work as I had the availability to do so. However, now that I am back in school, I canât do a morning and evening session as easily, and the reviews will pile up to a pretty unreasonable level. I am talking about 400 or more. Having to get through these just to get to the information I need is cumbersome and, for the most part, not really all that helpful. Having the ability to limit the amount per day and prioritize new material would be extremely useful and effective.
And because I have looked at this forum before and see members reacting to this kind of post critically, a quick note: I am a masterâs student, and much of the material I have studied before but I require a review. I have a study plan and experience, but I would love to use this kind of tool to maximize my time because I have very little of it. Please do not respond telling me I am âdoing it wrong.â such comments are not helpful.
Welcome to the forums!
Hmmmm we have two options that, combined, might help you:
- Review by individual Deck
- Accessible here, on the Decks pages
- Session Review Limit
- Able to be activated while quizzing
Hello! Thanks for your response. I sent a message to you directly to address my personal experience, but I also wanted to point out a couple things about these solutions.
- These options are not really all that easy to find on the website and not that accessible. I looked through my settings, and I still do not see any of the options you indicated. Couldnât these just under the âsettingsâ for the decks with all the other settings? None of my decks show a âreviewâ option under âlearning,â and it is a bit frustrating to be constantly trying to find things that should just be basic to the experience.
- For me, it still would be much, much better to just have this as a general setting, something like âreview limit of 200 a day,â or something along those lines. I do not want to have to turn off decks or the like; I want to just get my general review.
- It would also be great to still have the ability to prioritize new information (e.g., ârecently learned itemsâ) rather than switching around decks. I like having older information pop up to remind me without having to perform a sort of ritual box ticking each time.
Again, I know that navigating programing is complicated, and I am not all that good with tech to be honest, but it would be great to have this simplified to just be able to click a number or a box or some such.
Iâm not going to say that new material before finishing all reviews is âdoing it wrongâ, because Iâm also interested in a similar workflow, but cannot find the tooling for it.
With recognition-focused reviews (not necessarily here on Bunpro), it would be nice to have an intermediate state corresponding to âyou might want to review this now, but you donât have to, yetâ for a month or so. Letâs say it would correspond to 75%-90% recognition probability. And paired with it, a plugin to review from outside the platform when encountering the target word (or grammar) in the wild.
If this was possible, Iâd probably leave 1k+ words in this intermediate state and wouldnât have to dread the daily SRS so much.
With production-focused reviews, not sure how useful that would be.
But it seems that all SRS tools put forward the simple workflow of âa review is a reviewâ and finishing all reviews first before picking up new material. There might be good reasons for that.
