Feedback - Suggested Improvements/Feature Request

Hello all,
It looks like the previous “Profile” page (https://bunpro.jp/user/profile) has been removed and various locations moved around.
It used to show all of your reviews in the order that they needed to be reviewed in. It also showed how much time until it would be ready for review again.
I used that page to go through the entire lessons again for all of my reviews coming up. So for items that I’ve mastered, I’ve ready through the lesson for that item over 10 times which really helps me remember.

Where has this moved to in the new UI? I understand that I can go to the lesson page for an item that I’m reviewing in the testing session, but i like to review them before then. If i have 10 reviews at 8am, then i like to go through all of those lessons before then.

Please automatically change timezones if the website detects youre in a new location. I lost my streak due to it.

Im on vacation in turkey and greece rn and my timezone was still set to HST (Hawaii time) and it didnt detect my location changed and still thought i was in hawaii, and thought it was the next day when it was the same day in turkey and greece.

To fix this, check location via ip address upon login to the website, if location = same, nothing happens. If location = different, change timezone

Additionally, is there any way to restore streak after loss? Or am I doomed? My username is hewill09

Hey!
You can restore your streak here:

Under “manually set streak”.

Cheers!

Hello Bunpro team,
Have you ever considered using the audio that already exists in Bunpro to add dictation as listening practice? Something like where you hear the sentence and then type what you think you heard and get graded on whether you were right?

Please allow editing of wrong answers, instead of deleting the whole thing.

It’s not currently consistent - sometimes you can tap the delete key and it will just delete a single character, but many times it will delete the whole answer and you have to type it all over.

I’m in the crowd who much prefers the delete key deleting the entire wrong answer.

If you have hundreds of reviews every day, and some vocab has like 10 synonyms, you need to be able to test each answer quickly rather than slowly deleting every invalid synonym. Otherwise the review time could increase by a lot.

I would love something like “backspace” alone deletes only one character, but “ctrl+backspace” deletes the whole answer. But I don’t know how that would translate to the mobile apps. Could the behaviour of “backspace” be at least configurable?

Maybe Backspace / Delete keys?

(Backspace to remove the last character, Delete to delete the entire answer).

Are you referring to this page inside the new Profile page? Should house all the same information you used before, along with some other useful tidbits.

If you’re referencing something else please let me know!

Thank you this has roughly the same functionality. It has the translation which the previous page didn’t. However it doesn’t list the time until review like the previous page did. If i have 14 to review, then I’d have to manually count which ones are my upcoming.

Will look into this tomorrow morning for you!

Can the strike be made more slim in the structure section of grammar points? It’s hard to see the text behind it otherwise.

I had made a post. But i realized this is probably to more more adequate place.

Could we get a 1 million exp badge? A bit of a silly request, but it kinda bothers me that the exp badges stop at 800k lol.

Silly one: I wish there was a way to like compare grammar points after getting a review wrong. Like, I’ll put in what I think is the correct grammar point, and it’s wrong. But if I wanted to look up the incorrect grammar point to see what it actually was, I’d have to open up another tab/window or navigate away from the review.

I don’t know how it would be done, but it would be nice to be able to compare two different grammar points after I get one wrong so I can be like “ohh, that’s the difference” or “ohhh, that’s what that one means, duh.”

Out of curiosity, is there any reason(outside of mainly wanting to focus on Grammar SRS) that a leap into kanji spelling hasnt been taken, and creating a pseudo-kani within Bunpro? Didnt want to make a new topic for this question, and I dont think Ive seen it specifically asked or mentioned before.

Would love more sentence variation per grammar point. I feel like more than half the time I just remember the sentence so I know which grammar to use without thinking about why it’s correct

And as a follow up to myself, can we have an option with the wanikani sync to sync to Beginner or even adept? I would like to be able reset and understand the word in the concept of a sentence.

I’m reading from the top down so not sure if you’ve received help on this one. The keyboard shortcut to display the answer is “A” it will also let you cycle through any alternative answers with each subsequent press. So when you have input the incorrect answer and the text becomes red, you just need to push A to see the correct answer and it will have no risk of submitting the incorrect answer. Apologies if you’ve already received this answer.

in my experience, pushing enter once will reveal the correct answer only if you input at least one character that is in the correct answer. If your answer does not contain any of the correct characters then it will just show your answer in red. The first picture shows a completely wrong character, second one correct character and the third shows what happens when you push “A” like i mentioned in my previous reply. Again, I apologize if you already know all of these by now. Its been almost a month lol.

Sorry if this has already been raised but can we look at getting an “OP” icon in forum posts - if the conversation is long I forget who the original poster (OP) was so when they reply I sometimes get confused if they are the person with the issue or a new person - I have to scroll up to check - I know, first world problems!! But it would be super helpful :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
