Feedback - Suggested Improvements/Feature Request

Oh that’s great to hear! Thanks!

Hello,
Maybe it has already been said before, in which case I am sorry for the repetition.

I would really love, in the Content → Vocab list for example, to have the possibility to display the furigana right next to the vocabulary (when most of the time there is kanji).

Because I love learning vocabulary by just scrolling through this list, and so many times I have to click on the word bubble when I’m not sure of the reading, find the furigana in the page, and it’s a process that makes me lose a lot of time and concentration.

This might have been requested before, but I would support a way to pause reviewing for a deck. For example, if I want to focus on one deck, I would not receive review requests from other decks.

Welcome!

Are you referring to the iOS/Android app?

We already have this on web.

You can review one at a time through the Learn Queue Decks page!

Oh yes sorry, I meant on the IOS app.

Hello,

I did a search and didn’t seem to find if this has been previously mentioned.

A method to compare community decks would be neat. Seeing the overlap in vocabulary between two decks such as the community Core deck and a manga vocabulary list for instance.

Also a method to sort a community deck by JLPT level would be handy to see the estimated complexity of deck made for a certain media.

Yes, thank you. That’s how I do it now. I was just hoping there was a way to make the aggregator on top not show the reviews for the decks that I put on hiatus.

We will be implementing a feature in the future that should allow you to do this.

I think the info button explaining what each item does in the details section is a huge win. But I think clicking or hovering on the word should bring up the definition.

Clicking on the “i” icon, you have to dig through a bunch of terms. For example, to know what independent word means, you have to scroll all the way to the bottom and then click “See All Technical Terms” and then it would be available to see. Way too much friction.

Also fix the formatting! (Though, that should be in a bug report, eh? )

Edit: Upon further investigation, it does seem to highlight the Part of Speech/Word Type/Register when clicking on it, but for some reason, it "saves the location of the scroll bar when going in-between the three sections.

For example, you click on part of speech, scroll down to half way, exit, then click on word type – The scroll bar is in the middle of word type which is probably why I saw that initially. Pretty weird behavior!

Also found this:

“An helping verb” → “A helping verb”

“Non-independant” → “Non-independent”

Tbh there’s a bunch of smaller grammatical issues in that list, but what I listed are the only typos.

It has been added to the app, will be released with next patch!

With the new Master+ option there should be a quick way to manually set any item to either that or refular Master, since not everything needs to be recurring for life.

This would also enable setting individual items you’re already learning/mastered to Master+ without having to convert every single item you’ve ever studied at once, which would cause potentially massive surges in reviews.

I am now going through N4 vocab and marking the words I already know and some of the words which are part of N4 in Bunpro are absolutely ridiculous as today I got:

整形外科

I know that one clean and published list doesn’t exist fore JLPT but come on guys…

Hi again, thanks for the Feedback.
We are planning on redoing the JLPT Decks.
Don’t have a timeline on this but it has come up before many a time.

Same here. In the mean time I use this deck Core-2k to find the usefull words. You should try it
