Just curious, is there a hotkey for pitch accent audio? I often use ‘P’ in grammar and vocab reviews, but sometimes I just want to grind the audio for a single word by itself

I think this is probably a combination of multiple words (今、しばらく、で).
Depends on the context of the sentence if you have that on hand
Hello! There are a ton of small QoL improvements and changes that are much more exciting to think about and design, but full-blown offline support for reviews on mobile would be absolutely huge. I know that theoretically I can start a review online and then finish it offline, but results there are mixed since things don’t always seem to cache fully and often it’ll break a few reviews in. I go on regular business trips to Japan and shaky plane wifi has broken my heart many, many times cause that’s premium Bunpro time!
Truth be told, Bunpro started out fantastic and has only improved over the years with added voices, sentences, and features. You guys have done such good work and I totally love everything top to bottom. I would just like to be able to use it more!

Hello! I’d find it great if furigana could be displayed in Vocab lists on mobile (either in Content > Vocab, or when checking a deck’s contents).
My most effective study approach is to casually read vocab lists a few times before I tackle words individually, and having to spend time clicking on each word to confirm the reading sort of defeats the point. Desktop displays them just fine, so I’m not sure if there’s a toggle I’m not seeing or if mobile has some extra technical limitations. But it would be much appreciated

Feature request: I would like to have the fill-in option for vocab where the sentences aren’t verified yet (higher A- vocab). This could be implemented as a setting with a quality disclaimer.
Alternative: Translate option from EN to JP without sentence, since I want to practice recall and not just recognition

100% agree with this! I really don’t care about the JLPT and many words I find in the wild aren’t even on those lists/decks. Having JLPT progress being the focus of the summary screen feels odd. I’d rather see progress based on word frequency or maybe even just a list of total words learned vs the database. It feels like non-jlpt words go into a black hole.
At the very least under the N1 bar there should be some kind of “other” progress bar.

Suggested improvement to the search function in deck creator:
On the My Deck screen, there is an option to search for and add words. This search function (understandably) is a bare bones version of the normal search function, but the order in which the words appear is frustrating for me. For example, if you search for 行為 in the normal search bar, the word itself shows up first, and then other words that contain the characters. Conversely, when searching in the deck creator, 行為, (a common, N2 word) shows up dead last in the search results, under a bunch of unclassified and uncommon jargon words. I would really like to see words in the deck creator search bar show up in an order that makes more sense.

Suggestion for the community decks: add a Drama/TV show section. There’s a movie section but that’s not really the same thing. Even better would be episode decks inside this. At the moment I use jpdb.io for this kind of specific practice.
More generally I find the big master list a bit cumbersome and you have to do a lot of scrolling to see the various categories. Might be good to have the ability to collapse categories you aren’t looking at right now?

Really good application and the effort to provide so many examples is really good. I use it for testing and developing my reading comprehension.
My biggest feature request is the ability to highlight a word and quick add it to a custom deck to learn later.
I’d like to be able to mix listening reviews in with reading somehow, but I think the cram mode might work for this.

I’d like to see an option on iOS to reveal answers by clicking on the middle (unused) area of the screen. One thing I love about the Anki app is that it lets you control what a tap does and you can customise the different areas of the screen. The reveal button is super tiny at the bottom of the screen

Suggestion:
On this screen, make [Enter] and [Right arrow key] into keyboard shortcuts for “Continue”, and [Esc] and [Left arrow key] into keyboard shortcuts for “Exit to summary”.

A “skip” review button to send a review far back into the queue. Sometimes your brain is malfunctioning at that specific moment and you just need to warm-up. Or simply you just want to review a bunch of “easy” ones and then spend half an hour trying to squeeze your brain to get right 10 reviews.
Wanikani has the “Later Crabigator” script, and it is so convenient. I can divide my review into “Things that I 99% know” vs “Thing that I need to speed some time thinking and probably will get wrong”.
I’ve been waiting for this since I registered almost a year ago.

Is it possible to add a cram category for keigo grammar points specifically? I can’t figure out how to do it by myself without individually searching all the points first. There is a community grammar deck for keigo but I don’t seem to be able to cram that.

I would like to be able to control the mix of my reviews between grammar and vocab. The split category setting is not in the mobile app

Someone who’s more Bunpro jouzu than me might have a better solution, but the best way I can think of would be to add a Keigo deck to your learn cue, then go to Cram → Learning → [the deck with keigo in it].

I’ve seen そうになる a couple times when reading and each time I have to stop and look up what it is. I think it should be added to the list of grammar to add. Sentence I just saw it in : 身体から
