I don’t know when this was changed. But I personally and not a fan of hiding the options that we are free to use behind those buttons.
I wanted to reset a grammar point since I got a review for it and I didn’t recognize it at all. Scrolled down and didn’t see the familiar choices. And quite frankly if I didn’t know that those choices used to be there, I never would have thought to click those three buttons to find them.
WHY would you hide them? The easiest way to let people know they have options to do things is by letting them see they have options!
It would be nice if we could sort grammar points by accuracy when cramming. Like, select JLPT level, then sort by accuracy, so I can see which one I have the most trouble with so I can study them more.
And on the grammar list too, so I can decide if there is a grammar point that I would like to reset.
Unless this already exists? I haven’t found any way to do this.
I second this.
Having a “reveal and grade” button beside the manual input.
As of now there is no option to change for all and require to go every single grammar point to change manual or reveal and grade.
Just add a button( for reveal and grade) somewhere near the manual input.
This allow ourself to decide whether we want to attempt the manual input or reveal and grade depend on every sentence
This also save time on days where we have limited time to review and just want to see through the answer for recall instead of typing in one by one where some sentence require to type a lot of word. With the time to type in one sentence, i can recall 10 sentences.
Have a day change-over offset setting.
Having the day change over at midnight is not a useful time for me, as I am frequently up past midnight. Having an offset to the day change time on top of the time zone would really help.
(Changing the time zone makes hourly review prediction wonky to intuit, so that isn’t really a solution for me.)
Question/Feedback: is there any way to enable personal notes in the hints? If there isn’t, I think it’d be pretty useful!
Is there a way to get answer prompts to accept kanji? Or to make the answers only display furigana like before? Sometimes I have no desire to type long answers, and the new system is a little tedious when typing corrections
I second this!
I uhh…I don’t know about this sentence…I’m pretty sure you can’t politely tell someone to stop talking, shut up, and leave. That’s called rude NOT polite.
I have another request: to be able to hide the example sentences on the grammar description section. I always try to read the japanese part first to see if I understand what it says but the text below it always distracts me, and sometimes I end up reading it by accident.
JLPT-style multiple choice questions!
Even just use the current “example sentences” and have the relevant answer as one of 4 options to select from.
Could start small with just the first part of the grammar test, but then in time also include “star” questions, even the text “cohesion” questions such as using the reading texts on BunPro, and not forgetting vocabulary questions too.
I’ve just started playing around with custom sentences and noticed that if you add a custom sentence for a grammar point you haven’t studied yet, the custom sentence still shows up in your reviews. Can this be changed so that the custom sentence only shows once the grammar point is in your review pile?
Also, could a little icon be added to the grammar tile to show that you have custom sentences added? It’s really hard to hunt down what I’ve added where if I need to go back and modify anything.
Apparently, the custom sentences has a lot of issues that were not fixed. Not sure whether was it too few people using this feature to report the bug.
I was wondering why such easy-to-catch issues weren’t addressed yet; that makes sense.
Thanks for the suggestions. We can definitely look into adding them. These were done on purpose. The custom sentences are disconnected from the main reviews because they exist outside of the review and 99% of the time they are add to already studied grammar.
There isn’t a good icon option but we could add a way to search custom sentences potentially.
Okay so I recently learned that you can edit the type of reviews you get in Vocab Decks. I really like this.
I was wondering if there was a way to change which type of reviews you get based on the day of the week. See during the week I (like a lot of people) are busy and don’t have as much time to focus on each review. But I have a lot of time on the weekends.
The manual input reviews are rather quick to do, and the Cloze reviews take a while.
It would be nice if during the week (mon - fri) the reviews are manual input style, but on weekend (sat-sun) it was cloze. But done automatically
Noticed that translations for the example sentences for N3 vocab have started appearing - much appreciated!
It will be useful practice for reviewing vocab when I have to resit N3 at the end of this year
(Or, hopefully, be able to move on to N2 vocab ).
Hi! Could there be a way to remove all words taught in Wanikani from the vocab decks without having to put the Wanikani API? Like a toggle button in the settings that just excludes them all maybe?
Suggest to have a zoomable review forecast
Or can make the time or days clickable to display the amount.
When the reviewing scale y axis is 200, basically it is almost impossible to click on the bar on x axis that is single digit.
The effect is much worse on web app than android app.
