The situation has escalated.
Can it also be seen from here?
The situation has escalated.
We can even watch this from here?
If the situation has already escalated this far… (then we’re in real trouble)
To me changing the である to であれば makes it sound like we’re adding an “if” and leaving the result hanging. That’s why I added the part in parenthesis, because it feels like that kind of statement would come next.
Also I stole the word “escalate” from Matt’s answer because I like it better than “If the situation has already progressed this far” which was my first impression.
I’m huuungry. I could really go for some curry bread right now…
Translating カレーパン to curry bread sounds funny to me, I’m thinking because it’s not eaten in these parts. Was tempted to leave my translation as “…could really go for some カレーパン right now…”.
You make our deaths worth it
(???)
I spent a long time on this one and still confused! I have trouble with sentences that have multiple は and が so I usually try to use context to figure it out, but that’s not possible here.
What I tried was to take the sentence 君達は私達が好きだ which should mean “You like us” and switch out 好きだ with 死ぬ甲斐のある存在であり. “You something something worth dying for us” . Didn’t make much sense so I came up with my best guess instead.
We are in a state where our death is beneficial to you, …
Its your existence that gives our deaths meaning.
I’m hungry…
I wanna eat curry bread…
The fact that you exist means that it is worth it for us to die.
Difficult without context there
I came to return you to school!
I came to take you back to school.
Today I’ve come for the sake of putting you back in school.
I came to get you back to school today.
more literal
as for today, I came for return you to school, right!
more natural
I came today to return you to school
Attracted by the N5 grammar, learnt N3 ため, fell into your trap…
After giving it a lot of thought, I switched careers and became a teacher like I always dreamed of!
