September 16th Translation
Notes :
For the names of places or businesses (especially when they are in Kanji), sometimes it can be very difficult to mentally try to translate what the meaning is. Just like in English, quite often there is no particular meaning in a name, and it may not even be a real word. In those cases it is often best just to go with the most common reading of the kanji and hope for the best! (Quite often this is exactly what natives will do)

ぬ
Note : Although this uses ぬ, 底知れぬ is usually considered a set phrase, and will not take the を particle for 底.
Freeza is afraid of Saiyan’s unlimited possibilities [power].
フリ-ザはセイア人の底知れぬ可能性をおそれている。
フリ-ザ = Freeza
は = topic marker particle
セイア人 = Saiyan
の = possessive
底知れぬ = bottomless; unlimited; immeasurable; inexhaustible
可能性 = potentiality; likelihood; possibility; availability
それている = ている-form of それる = to turn away; to bear off; to veer away; to swerve form: to miss (e.g. a target)
to deviate (e.g. of a conversation); to digress; to go astray; to wander
恐れる = to fear; to be afraid of
Natural : Freeza is afraid of the Saiyan’s unlimited potential.
Edit : Just goes to show you should read carefully, missed the お in おそれている until reading through my post again after posting
“Frieza is afraid of Saiyans unlimted potential”
Frieza is afraid of the Saiyans’ unlimited potential.
助けなくちゃいけなくて、もう見て見ぬ振りできなかった。
Freeza is fearing the limitless potential of the sayans.
犬は野に寝せぬ。
Not sure how to use 寝 (ぬ) since it is noted as にだん動詞 in the dictionary (I didn’t even know such verbs exist) but I wanted to try a funny alliteration
@s1212z 助けなくちゃいけなくて、もう見て見ぬ振りできなかった。
I had to help (someone) and could not turn a blind eye anymore.
Dragonball quote? Neat.
Should be something along the line of
" Freeza fears the immeasurable potential of the Saiyans."
Probably some talk from before the fight on Namek when talking about how he destroyed their race/planet due to that and the fear of them producing a super saiyan.
Thanks for the
info on this expression. Made the sentence easier to parse and got me a new vocab
Probably the easiest one grammatically so far (from the few I have seen)
Yay for Dragonball! One of these days I’ll get around to reading the entire manga.
Frieza fears the unlimited potential of the Saiyans
It’s so good! While the Saiyan arc was the only one to get an official color and translation, there’s a team online who’s done the entire arc with their own (imo) more natural translation. Color adds so much to the story, it’s such a great journey!
Anyways, hadn’t learned め yet not 底知れ but even after checking on jisho my initial assumption seems to be correct
Freiza fears the unlimited/unmeasurable potential of the Saiyans.

Notes:
Quite often, grammar points or parts of grammar points can be found in set phrases. This is very common for some the the rarer types of negation like ず and ぬ, which may sound unnatural outside of those set phrases, depending on the situation.
Moreover, therefore the persons who fall in love with me are no one but loser-like men.
それに私の好きになる人ってくずみたいな男ばっかだからなぁ
Also, since the men I come to like are just trash…
Can someone fill me in on what exactly ばっか is?
Slang for ばかり (only/just)
それに私の好きになる人ってクズみたいな男ばっかだからなぁ
それに = Besides; in addition; also; moreover
私 = I; me
の = Possessive
好きになる = to come to like; to become fond of; to fall in love
人 = man, person
って = as for
クズ = Scum; Piece of trash; loser
みたいな = Sort of like that; Something like that; In that vein
男 = man
ばっか = Only; Merely; Nothing but; No more than
だから = So therefore; accordingly; consequently; on those grounds; that is why; for that reason
なぁ = emphatic sentence ending
Rough : Besides my falling ing love with persons sort of like scum only
Natural : Besides, the men I fall in love with are all jerks.
Edit : So, I was quickly writing down my explanation of thinking and in an absent moment apparently wrote “って = casual quotation” while it’s clearly in the “as for” sense… Excuse my brain lapse
Huh, I’m confused, who is the doer in the「私の好きになる人」part, 私 or 人? Who is falling in love with whom?
It is often simple to start from the basics, so :
私のペンです。
My pen
So the pen is the item owned. We can then substitute pen for 好きになる人 (person to fall in love with) for :
私の[好きになる人]
My (person to fall in love with), so the 私 is the one who falls in love with the 人.
