Special trip down the river Hodzugawa
“Akechi’s navy goes to Kyoto!”

A professional storyteller will tell about Akechi Mitsuhide, military commander related to the province Tanba, using story composition and development, from departure to arrival of the ship. We made a new story based on historical facts mixed with showing important historical places around while going down the river, enjoy two hours of a boat trip that will leave no one bored.

Oh, GITW goes early since recently, and now I’m the one who ran out of time :upside_down_face:

Notes:
On this sign there are quite a few small things which may throw you off the trail of how it should be translated. One of the major ones is 伝える. Here, 伝える is referring to the fact that city itself is imparting the cultural assets. This has the nuance of imparting to tourists, and even bequeathing to future generations.

The more Japanese I study the more difficult I think it is to write Japanese sentence.

Through my Japanese trip, it was filled with such things as visiting shrines and temples that did ceremonies.

@MZa is the Real MVP for always typing out the extra text so I can plug most of it into Jisho!
(Though I sabotaged myself there because now the GITW is posted in my morning and Mza posts just before it so I cant take advantage as often)

Notes:
This is one of the more literal meanings for にかけて, and rather meaning ‘over a -period-’, it means ‘over a -thing-’. That thing being your left hand in this case.

まみれ

Text: まみれさんのバカンスしっとりチョコクッキーにバナナピューレとチョコチップを組み合わせ

Note :
While this is not the same use of まみれ as taught in the grammar point, it is still exactly the same meaning. We thought that this pack of (suspiciously content looking) cookies would be a great opportunity to see some interesting translations!
