Today I had a meet with my friend via LINE and I asked her again about my Goku example sentence. I wanted her to explain why using ために in this situation wasn’t correct, but instead she realized that she had made a mistake with the first answer she gave me. Of course, I wanted to strangle her, lol.

Anyway, you were right that my usage of には (or ためには) in that sentence was incorrect. It was also hard for her to explain, but it basically boils down to:

「ために」→目的 (Objective)
(Requirement)

Then she gave me these two example sentences of correct usage of both:

試験にうかるために勉強した。
試験にうかるためには勉強しなければならない。

I have to admit that this is a tricky grammar point to understand for an English learner since the translation in both cases is the same, but the usage is different. Now I understand why you had a hard time coming up with an explanation, but hopefully what I posted above helps.

Thank you for bringing it up! I learned something new today .

That’s a nice explanation, thank you for sharing!

Also I just randomly got a には in bunpro reviews, so here goes my sentence for today:
風邪を治るには睡眠と散歩に越したことはない。

I might be wrong about it, but I don’t think people use てみる in third person…
Similar to how ~たい becomes ~たがる to talk about other people.

Other ways of talking about this could be:

彼は…殺してみるって。
He said he is going to try to…

He is trying to…

But the meaning is not exactly the same as of plain てみる, hmm…
