Okay, this is my first time writing a sentence in 日本語, so it’s simple and possibly incorrect. I am very new to Japanese, so bear with me.

くれは私の犬です。

This is my dog.

Anyway, I’m gonna try and start doing this with simple sentences! Let me know if there is a mistake in this.

Looking good! Just one mistake that I am 99.99% sure is just a little typo.
It should be これ instead of くれ。

And my sentence for today:

そういえば、パデルって日本人にとってどのスポーツなのでしょうか。みずうみを自力で渡る、浮かべる板と「paddle」のパッデリングか。それとも、バドミントンみたいな硬いラケットとボールのパドルなのか。はい、辞書で調べてきました。前者はサップでした。

tl

Come to think of it, which sport do Japanese call “パデル”? Is it the one with a floating board and a paddle, where you can cross the water under own power? Or is it the one with a hard racket and ball, similar to badminton? Ok, I’ve just looked it up in the dictionary. The former is called “サップ” as in SUP.

あのレストランを訴えるのはせこくもなんともない。神様から授かった権利を使うだけだ。「不味いチーズバーガーぐらいだ」って言っているか?僕は正しいよ。いつも、正しい。

翻訳

Suing that restaurant is by no means petty. I am just using my god given right. You’re saying that it was just a bad burger? I’m correct, you know. I’m always correct.

A comment on what thelizard said and then deleted: I am pretty sure you are actually correct. I was under the same impression that 秒針 meant second hand as in a second hand item, but apparently, as you pointed out, it actually means the second hand as in the hand that counts the seconds. Looks like in order to express second-hand you would use 中古. Definitely confusing.
